Timeform View

An intriguing renewal of the Glasgow Stakes in which John and Thady Gosden's unexposed Dubawi colt SUPERIOR CHOICE is fancied to take the step up in class in his stride and retain his unbeaten status in 2026. Mr Colonel wasn't at his best in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot but could still emerge as the main danger ahead of the consistent Prizeland.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Superior Choice traded at a high of 1.58 and Betfair SP of 1.35 when winning last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Mr Colonel (IRE)
Reappeared with Redcar novice win (1¼m) before posting an excellent third in Chester Vase in May. Tongue tied when only ninth of 11 in Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot (1¾m) last time but can bounce back dropped in class/distance.
Superior Choice
1,100,000 gns Dubawi colt of a Group 1 winning dam. Built on debut promise when landing Leicester maiden (1¼m) from useful sort on his return and cosily followed up in 4-runner novice at Newmarket (1¼m) a month ago. A smart prospect who looks the one to beat here.
Flawless Fusion (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. Only tenth of 13 in conditions event at Gowran in June on final run for Joseph O'Brien. Hooded for stable debut here and faces a tough task up in trip.
Folk Pageant
Most progressive through the spring and bagged a fourth success in 1¼m Epsom handicap on Derby day. Not so good in a pair of strong handicaps at Ascot since but no surprise to see her bounce back here.
Plaid
Ghaiyyath filly looked firmly on the up when blitzing the field in a 9f handicap here in May but below that level on soft ground when fifth of 8 in listed race at Goodwood (1¼m) last month. Worth another chance up in trip.
Prizeland
Bagged a pair of all-weather novices at Kempton and Lingfield before posting useful efforts when runner-up in Lingfield Oaks Trial and fifth in Oaks d'Italia at Milan. Not out of things.
