Timeform View

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and it could pay to side with OOGUM BOOGUM who comes here in very good form over hurdles and can race off a lower mark here back chasing. Roscommon scorer Kilkee Bay rates the obvious threat, while The Border Boy and Parkgarve also need factoring in.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Kilkee Bay traded at a high of 100.00 and Betfair SP of 40.00 when winning last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

The Rebel County (IRE)
Sole victory under Rules came in a hunter chase last spring. In good form over fences but well held back hurdling at Limerick (23f) 15 days ago. Can bounce back reverted to this sphere.
Huntsgrove (IRE)
Fair hurdles winner over 2½m but little impact in 4 starts over fences so far, though did have excuses (badly hampered first) when pulled up in maiden at Tramore in May. Others still preferred.
Temptationinmilan (IRE)
One-time fairly useful chaser who has lost way, going with no encouragement on either start this season.
Kilkee Bay (IRE)
Capitalised on a reduced mark (also headgear change) when readily landing 16-runner handicap chase at Roscommon (2¾m) last month. Back up 6 lb but weighted to go close.
Stretchemout (IRE)
Won 21f maiden chase at Sligo in October but below form after for Gordon Elliott. Only fourteenth of 18 for new yard back hurdling at Limerick (23f) 15 days ago. Cheekpieces go back on with lots more needed back over fences.
Parkgarve (IRE)
Unreliable type. 9/1, respectable fifth of 14 in handicap chase at Downpatrick (19f) last month. Handily weighted if on his A-game here though.
Schiehallion (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 20 runs and only fifth of 6 in novice chase at Downpatrick (3m) on belated debut over fences 34 days ago. Much more required on handicap chase debut.
My Cullen (IRE)
Still a maiden and cheekpieces on for 1st time when tenth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe (2¾m) in May. Reverts to chasing with work to do.
Ferdia (IRE)
Sixteen runs since his last win in 2022 and a below-par eighth of 12 in handicap chase at Downpatrick (3m) 34 days ago. Needs to take a big step forward.
Oogum Boogum (IRE)
Gained a deserved breakthrough win in 3m handicap hurdle at Punchestown in May. Very good second of 15 in handicap hurdle at Clonmel (2¾m) last time. Reverts to fences off a lower mark so one to be interested in sporting a refitted tongue strap.
U Asking Me (IRE)
Clonmel hurdle winner who got back on track over fences when third at Wexford last summer. Well beaten all 3 runs since returning from an 11-month break, though.
Three Tribes (IRE)
Hasn't shown a great deal over hurdles and pulled up in handicap at Limerick (23f) on debut over fences in May.
Cullenwaine (IRE)
Underlined his inconsistency over fences when a below-par fifth at Tramore in May. Not disgraced back hurdling with fourth of 14 in handicap at Limerick (2½m) 15 days ago. Others remain more persuasive.
Robin Elite (IRE)
Winning pointer but has not shown anything under Rules for a long time.
The Border Boy (IRE)
Got off the mark over hurdles at Cork last summer. Just his second run in this sphere when a very good fourth of 10 in handicap chase at Tramore (2¾m) in May so not out of things.
Embrace The Day (IRE)
On the up over hurdles and bagged 10-runner handicap at Listowel (23f) in May. Looks the sort to do better still as a chaser so a likely player. RESERVE
Watty Show (IRE)
Maiden hurdler and a below-form eighth of 14 in handicap at Downpatrick (2¾m) 34 days ago. Makes chase debut here. RESERVE
Amburana (IRE)
Remains winless and only thirteenth of 18 in handicap hurdle at Limerick (2½m) 50 days ago. Chasing debutant. RESERVE
