Timeform View

CHINA IN YOUR HAND promises to have derived plenty from an eye-catching debut at Doncaster and is taken to strike at the second time of asking. Necromancer is bred to come into her own over longer trips, but is in excellent hands and commands respect, especially if the market speaks in her favour. Another newcomer worthy of consideration is Flooding, whose sire continues to make an excellent impression with his progeny.

Timeform Comments

Caravel (IRE)
Minzaal filly who was sent off 22/1 and shaped as if better for the run when seventh of 13 in maiden at Doncaster (7f, good to firm, 22/1) on debut 4 weeks ago. Has work to do to reverse the form with China In Your Hand but entitled to improve nonetheless.
China In Your Hand
Cracksman filly. Half-sister to useful 6f winner Territorial Knight, who scored at 2 years, from the family of high-class 6f/7f winner Muarrab. Shaped well admidst inexperience when third of 13 in 7f maiden at Doncaster on debut 4 weeks ago, making good late headway. Sure to improve.
Flooding (IRE)
Foaled March 28. €58,000 yearling, Ghaiyyath filly. Half-sister to winner up to 7f Royalty Bay. Dam, 7f/1m winner, half-sister to smart 5f/6f winner Go Bears Go. By a sire who continues to impress and needs a close look in the betting.
Indian Lights (IRE)
Foaled April 23. 47,000 gns yearling, Sioux Nation filly. Closely related to 5f/5.5f winner Amanzi Yimpilo and half-sister to 7f winner Rain Or Shine. Yard just 1 from 17 with its 2-y-o newcomers this season.
Kiah (IRE)
38,000 gns yearling, Australia filly who looked one for the longer term when always behind over 6f at Newbury on debut 16 days ago.
Angel Of Heaven
Harry Angel filly. Half-sister to several winners, including very smart winner up to 1m Firmament. Proved strong in the betting but was held back by inexperience when a well-held seventh of 11 in 7f novice at Kempton recent debut. Clearly thought capable of better.
Lunar Blossom (IRE)
Foaled March 30. €23,000 yearling, Space Traveller filly. Half-sister to several winners, including winner up to 8.6f Mulzamm winner up to 1¼m Leshlaa, both smart, and useful 9f/9.4f winner Intersection. Appeals on paper for a yard which is 3 from 8 with its 2-y-o debutants this season.
Necromancer
Foaled February 18. Bangkok filly. Dam, 1½m winner, also won bumper/hurdle. Bred for longer trips but still a newcomer to keep a close eye on in the betting for excellent yard.
Pertinent
Has beaten only one rival in a pair of maidens.
Potters Margot
Lope Y Fernandez filly who merely hinted at ability when fifth of 10 in maiden (9/1) at Lingfield (6f, AW) on debut 44 days ago. Needs to improve appreciably for the extra 1f.
