Timeform View

Fairly useful Flat performer MR LINCOLN looks interesting dropped in class and is fancied to get off the mark over hurdles, with Made All and Alvesta also appealing in a competitive low-grade handicap.

Timeform Comments

Mr Lincoln
Strong-travelling fourth in higher grade at Perth before continuing in good heart on Flat (fairly useful). This looks the ideal sort of test on return to hurdling, and he's fancied to snap a long losing run.
Made All
Backed up promising handicap hurdle debut when third in a slightly better race at Market Rasen in late-May. Again caught the eye when well-backed third in 1½m handicap on the Flat at Catterick on Wednesday and still lurking on a potentially good mark over hurdles.
Animato
Finished 8¾ lengths third on latest hurdles run at Doncaster in February but hasn't pulled up any trees on the Flat since.
Daring To Dream
Maiden who is typically a less-than-fluent jumper. Did shape better than the bare result on the back of a breathing operation at Uttoxeter on Wednesday, but she's no certainty to build on that. Usual hood refitted.
King Kodiak (IRE)
Maiden who is feasibly treated on last season's novice form. Followed a good run with a below-par one at Perth last time, and his tendency to jump right could count against him on a sharp left-handed track.
Alvesta
Belatedly capitalised on a falling mark in selling handicap over C&D on final start for George Bewley. Ran well in spite of the longer trip when well-backed third at this track (2¾m) and looks interesting back down in distance on just second start for capable local yard.
Ribble River (IRE)
Fair middle-distance Flat winner for Kevin Ryan. Showed little in maiden/novice hurdles, however, yard no stranger to winners here and jockey booking catches the eye now handicapping off lowly opening mark.
Mr Globalist (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who ran as well as could be expected when distant fourth in C&D selling handicap on latest hurdle start. Well held by Alvesta on that form and visor back on following an uninspiring second spin over fences.
