Timeform View

STAR PERFORMER's sales price increased markedly last year and connections presumably know where they stand in relation to established pair White Sand Beach and Cape Primrose. In the hope she's strong in the market, she's selected to make a winning debut.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

White Sand Beach traded at a low of 6.00 and Betfair SP of 4.10 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Cape Primrose (IRE)
St Mark's Basilica filly who stepped up on her debut fifth at Naas when going close in a 9-runner Thurles maiden in October. Not at that level both starts in April but she's in expert hands and is expected to make her presence felt at this level.
Mathoura (IRE)
€30,000 foal, €65,000 yearling, Calyx filly. Shaped with promise amidst obvious inexperience when second of 8 in maiden at Gowran (9.5f, good to soft) on debut in May but not in the same form at Fairyhouse later that month.
Mosel (IRE)
Waldgeist filly. Half-sister to useful French 6f/7f winner Summer Sail. Dam unraced out of useful 7f/1m winner Akira. One of 2 interesting newcomers for her leading stable.
Star Performer (IRE)
€75,000 yearling, €160,000 2-y-o, Sea The Stars filly. Dam, 5f/6f winner (including at 2 yrs) who stayed 1m, half-sister to useful 6f winner Green Sense. Newcomer of serious interest.
Storm Petrel (IRE)
€19,000 foal, Gleneagles filly. Dam lightly raced half-sister to smart 11f-17f winner Amade. Showed more than on debut 10 months prior when fourth of 12 at Roscommon 3 weeks ago. Step up distance promises to suit but she may need more time.
Sunatia (FR)
Night of Thunder filly. Half-sister to smart 1¼m-1½m winner Sumiha and 2-y-o 1m winner Suwayra. Dam, 1¼m winner, half-sister to 1m winner Sinawann and 1¼m/10.7f winner Simsir (both very smart). Lot to like on paper but looked badly in need of the experience on debut over 1m last month.
Trumph (IRE)
Sent off 25/1 and could manage only eighth of 13 in maiden at Leopardstown (7f, good to soft) on debut. Off 9 months and goes up in trip.
White Sand Beach (USA)
Established as a fairly useful filly but she remains a maiden after 9 Flat runs and isn't progressing. Respectable second of 9 in maiden at Killarney (11.3f, good) 6 days ago, no match for winner. Down in trip and she sets the standard.
