Timeform View

RAJAPOUR is probably in better heart than recent form figures suggest so, having dropped to a career-low mark, David O'Meara's 6-y-o earns the nod over Amidst The Chaos, who is going through a good spell at the minute and probably should have made it back-to-back wins at Doncaster recently. Yafaarr completes the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Nyman (IRE)
Ended 2025 with 7f win at Newmarket in November. Back to form with C&D fourth of 9 in May but well beaten both starts later that month (bled on latest). Handicapper eases his grip further and the cheekpieces are discarded.
Amidst The Chaos (IRE)
Added to his tally in 7-runner event at Pontefract (1m, good) last month and improved again when second of 16 at Doncaster (1m, good to firm) just over a fortnight ago, though threw away a winning opportunity after hanging badly left (again refused to settle). In the mix again.
Bowood
Won twice at Newcastle last autumn but has struggled since taking a hike in the weights, not seeing his effort through back there (1m) just over 3 weeks ago. Handicapper continues to relent but seems better on all-weather nowadays.
Criminal Shore (IRE)
Raised his game after a series of unplaced efforts to belatedly get his head back in front in 12-runner event at Newcastle (1m) early last month, value extra having had to wait for a gap in closing stages. Ran poorly back on turf 10 days later and percentage call is to look elsewhere.
Rajapour (IRE)
On a losing run but down to a handy mark and he ran well when third at Thirsk/Beverley in May. Probably best not judged too harshly on each of his last 3 starts (came wide latest) and he looks worth chancing from a career-low mark.
Titainium
Won over 1¼m at Wetherby last June but finished tailed off on his next 3 starts, including on return at Carlisle (9f, good to soft) last month. Dropped another couple but can only be watched at present.
Yafaarr (IRE)
Bounced back to his best as he doubled his career tally in 12-runner event over C&D last month, both successes coming from a mark of 60. Not discredited from 6 lb higher when third of 8 at Doncaster (1m, good to firm) since and looks to hold solid each-way claims.
