Timeform View

COPPER CRAFT probably kicked for home too soon when runner-up at Navan last time, and he's fancied to go one better. Masego is steadily improving and has to be feared if turned out quickly, while class-dropper Preparations looks interesting if back on song.

Timeform Comments

Tassarolo
Holding his form pretty well, finishing 1½ lengths behind Arch Enemy at Killarney (11.5f, good) 5 days ago (having won the same race in 2025). May again find a few too good at the weights.
Preparations (IRE)
Sole Flat success came under an attacking ride at Bellewstown in October 2024. Ran to similar level when third here last summer. Now drops in grade following quiet winter on all-weather and last month's spin over hurdles was presumably a pipe-opener.
Desert Friend (IRE)
C&D winner snapped a losing run at Dundalk (2m) in March and went in again at Sligo (1¾m, good to soft) in May. Step back in right direction when 8¾ lengths fourth at Bellewstown off 1 lb higher latest. Didn't carry much of a win threat, though.
Giselles Defence (IRE)
Fair winner over 1¼m for Ian Williams last summer. Well below that level for current yard, including in this grade at Fairyhouse last time. Hopes pinned on first-time tongue strap/refitting of cheekpieces.
Kings Gesture
Very lightly-raced for age. Fair form in Dundalk maidens but no impact either handicap start on all-weather last spring. Handicapper has at least offered further respite ahead of his return/turf debut and has good-value apprentice aboard.
Trishuli River (IRE)
In good form at Dundalk over the winter. Hasn't looked close to capitalising on lower turf mark (0-11 on this surface) in recent starts, though.
Autocrat (IRE)
Has looked out of sorts since winning a Dundalk claimer in January, faring no better after an 8-week break at Navan last time.
Masego (IRE)
Responded well to a positive ride when off the mark at Leopardstown in May. Advanced his form both starts since, going close in a higher grade at Down Royal (13f, good) 3 days ago. Serious player if in similar form off a quick turnaround.
Reflectionist (FR)
Dual hurdle winner in 2023 before losing his way for Gavin Cromwell. Well beaten on Flat return/stable debut following 13 months off at Tramore (2m) latest. Cheekpieces go on first time, and he may still need the run here.
Copper Craft (IRE)
Relatively lightly-raced 4-y-o. Went close in this grade on the all-weather at Dundalk in late-May. Arguably kicked too soon when ¾-length second to next-time-out winner Arch Enemy at Navan (1¼m) latest. Can make amends if ridden with a bit more restraint back up in trip.
Wingit (IRE)
Gleneagles filly. Step back in right direction when making late headway to finish 5 lengths fifth at Killarney (1m, good) 6 days ago, doing best of those held up. Worth a go over middle distances on that evidence, for all she isn't bred to stay this far.
