Timeform View

GAMBINO and Speed For Fun both look very interesting. Dan Skelton's charge is narrowly preferred, having shaped well behind better-calibre opposition on hurdling debut.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Gambino traded at a low of 4.00 and Betfair SP of 4.26 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field: Speed For Fun traded at a low of 1.01 and Betfair SP of 4.38 when falling last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Destination Unkown (IRE)
Has shown little in either code.
Gambino (IRE)
Showed plenty when 2¾ lengths behind fairly useful pair with experience on hurdling debut at Newbury in March. Failed to fire in first-time tongue strap on Flat (fairly useful at his best) the following month. Since undergone a breathing operation and has strong claims on return to hurdles.
Kind Of Kiss
Borderline useful Flat performer (stays 1½m) last year. Hasn't hit those heights in 3 starts for new connections. Now sent hurdling in previously worn tongue strap (following a breathing operation), and he's probably a longer-term project.
Masekela (IRE)
Only fair middle-distance performer on the Flat for Tim Easterby last year (contested much better races for Andrew Balding earlier in his career). Stepped up on stable/hurdling debut when distant third in C&D novice in late-May. Will be better off in handicaps.
Scopic
Has shown little in 3 starts to date.
Speed For Fun (FR)
Fairly useful Flat winner at Compiegne (1¼m) last April. Changed hands for 40,000 and would have made a successful hurdling debut had he cleared the final flight safely at Listowel (2½m) in late-May. First runner for Willie Mullins at Cartmel, and he looks to hold a very good chance.
Steps In Time (IRE)
Regressed on the Flat for David O'Meara. No promise either hurdle start.
Order Another One (IRE)
Off the mark in Irish points at seventh attempt. Well beaten over longer trip in first-time hood here on Saturday.
Manhatane (FR)
Unpromising in points. Again offered little in maiden here on Saturday.
