Timeform View

A case of quantity over quality in this maiden, BELLS GROVE selected to build on the promise of his hurdling debut third with further improvement on the cards. Tiffany Case ticks plenty of boxes on paper, so she could be the one to offer most resistance, with Spanish Rising also worth a second look on hurdling debut for his powerful yard. Pit River would also warrant plenty of respect should he get a run for Gordon Elliott.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Bells Grove traded at a low of 5.90 and Betfair SP of 62.83 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Ripsnorter (FR)
Fairly useful bumper winner for A. Slattery but below that level on both starts over hurdles for new connections, shaping as if better for the run on return at Tramore in May.
Bells Grove (IRE)
Placed all 3 starts in bumpers for John McConnell and at the very least matched that form when third of 17 in maiden at Listowel (2m, good) on hurdles bow in May, pulling clear of rest. Likely to take some stopping with that under his belt.
Mr Caulfield (IRE)
Valirann gelding. Dam (h88), lightly raced over hurdles, closely related to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 4m) Bold Ransom and half-sister to fairly useful chaser (stayed 3m) Giolla An Bhaird. Off mark in points at seventh attempt (May 24).
Norvoski (IRE)
€12,500 3-y-o, Aizavoski gelding. Dam unraced sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 3m) Shoal Bay and fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 19f) Caddyhill.
Whoyougonnacall (IRE)
Tailed off in a bumper on debut but was in process of showing much more when falling 2 out in maiden at Clonmel on hurdling bow, looking set to finish in the frame. Faced a stiff task at Roscommon earlier in the month and may well get back on the up.
Spanish Rising (IRE)
Fair on Flat both outings last summer for B. F. Brookhouse but lost way for current connections on the level. Hopes pinned this switch to hurdling sparking a revival with a first-time tongue tie applied.
How's Ellie (IRE)
Little impact in 2 bumpers and showed herself a likely stable lesser light sent hurdling after 7 months off when well-beaten sixth of 15 in maiden at Roscommon (2m, good) recently.
Humble Berkshire (IRE)
No impact in 3 maiden hurdles and looks one for handicaps over longer trips.
Online Order (IRE)
Tailed off in bumper/maiden hurdle, looking a hard ride last time.
Tiffany Case (IRE)
€50,000 3-y-o, Diamond Boy mare. Half-sister to 3 winners, including 19f bumper winner/2¼m hurdle winner in USA Scorpion's Revenge. Dam unraced half-sister to Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Native River. Interesting newcomer.
Vocology (IRE)
Yet to make an impact in 7 starts on the Flat and looks set for another struggle sent hurdling.
Emmamia (IRE)
Berkshire filly who showed little when tenth of 11 in maiden hurdle at Sligo (17f, good) on debut 9 days ago.
Neat As A Pin (IRE)
Getaway filly who didn't get very far on debut, hampered and unseated rider second in maiden hurdle at Roscommon (2m, good) earlier in the month.
Pretty Wild (IRE)
Getaway filly who offered little when tailed off in maiden hurdle at Roscommon (2m, good) just over a fortnight ago.
Turlough Abu (IRE)
No sign of ability on the Flat or over hurdles, including back from 7 months off here in May.
Pit River (FR)
For Fun gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to French hurdler/chaser (2m-19f winner) Deuxcentdixhuit. Makes obvious appeal for a powerful yard. RESERVE.
Poetic Parable (IRE)
Poet's Word mare who had shown a bit by the line on her debut when well-beaten seventh of 15 in maiden hurdle at Roscommon (2m, good) recently. RESERVE.
Rosarian (IRE)
Gleneagles filly who hinted at ability when seventh of 14 in juvenile hurdle at Naas (17f, heavy) on debut 7 months ago. RESERVE.
