Timeform View

KAMEEL has been running well at this track and has the assistance of a good-value claimer for a stable that has finally found some form this year so he's taken to get the better of Hachiman, who finished narrowly in front of the selection here last time. Typeface should be in the mix once more.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

The apparent lack of competition for the lead could play into the hands of Kameel, who is likely to race toward the fore amongst the better-fancied horses: The race may not develop ideally for Hachiman whose prospects could be reliant on a good gallop, which doesn't look guaranteed.

Timeform Comments

Kameel
Yet to win for this yard but found his level at this track recently, including when finishing fourth over this trip earlier in the month. Now has the benefit of a good-value claimer taking over and that could well be the nudge he needs to get back winning in this ordinary affair.
Ricardo Phillips
Reliable sort for the grade who won here over further last summer and recently returned from 8 months off with a creditable effort when third of 8 in a handicap at Epsom 21 days ago. Back down in trip and possible he gets the run of things if connections switch back to front-running tactics.
Hachiman
Not won in 9 attempts since scoring last August but shaped better when third of 10 over C&D 18 days ago, seeing things out well on first try at this trip to finish just in front of Kameel. Consistency not his strong point but first-time cheekpieces now applied and sure to figure if in same form.
Typeface
Proving expensive to follow and once more failed as favourite when third of 10 at Ffos Las last time. That form still entitles him to be in the mix here but he now tries first-time cheekpieces and steps up in trip so has some questions to answer.
Clipsham Noble (IRE)
Won in good style here over 1½m in May, but needs a strong pace to chase and hasn't got that the last twice. Now drops back in trip and may not get the race run to suit once more.
Turton
Found no progress when fifth of 6 on handicap debut for James Tate at Beverley 29 days ago, slowly into stride in first-time blinkers and merely plugging on, but he's since joined a yard that does well with new recruits and goes without the headgear so could do a bit better.
