Timeform View

MERCURY MISSION probably overdid things on the front end when making his handicap debut here last time but has been dropped 3 lb as a result and his previous form is encouraging enough to think he can make an impact from this kind of mark. He's preferred to Lady Doyanne, who shaped well on chase bow last winning, and course regular Tequila Talkin'.

Timeform Comments

Trasna Na Pairce (IRE)
Won a couple of novice hurdles at Clonmel last summer and probably should've broken his duck over fences at Kilbeggan in May, in control when making a bad mistake at the last. Produced a moody effort in cheekpieces (discarded) here last time, though.
Mercury Mission
Handicap hurdle here winner last summer was placed on his first 3 completed starts over fences. Probably went off too hard in front here last time but his overall record at a track that suits his front-running style well means he's strongly considered with the tongue strap back on.
Tuckmill (IRE)
A hurdle/chase winner in 2024/25 but has lost form since. Hard to make a case for at present.
Lady Doyanne (IRE)
Followed up point success when a well-backed winner on hurdle debut here last season. Matched that form when third of 11 in handicap chase at Tramore (15f, good, 10/3) on her debut over fences 54 days ago despite probably making her effort earlier than ideal. Open to improvement.
Tequila Talkin' (IRE)
Has saved some of her best performances for this venue, successful over hurdles last summer and has finished in the frame on her last 3 outings over fences at the track, probably pressing on further out than ideal when third of 13 (2m, good to soft) 22 days ago.
Stoneyford Lady (IRE)
Made good start over fences, scoring at Thurles in November and shaping much better than the distance beaten suggests at Limerick next start. Not at her on best on either outing since returning from a 4-month break, though.
Ballybrittas (IRE)
Shaped better than the beaten distance when fifth of 14 in a handicap chase at Killarney (2½m) last time, and while down to a handy mark, he continues to hold himself back in the jumping department.
