Timeform View

CHOSEN SHANT has done all her winning at this track and landed a C&D contest 22 days ago and, though her chase record is inconsistent, she remains well handicapped on her hurdles form despite being up 6 lb. Justicialism showed promise despite not being bred for chasing when third at Cartmel, while L'Amiral Fromentin ran the selection close here last time and should go well again.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

King's Son traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Justicialism has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP 4 times on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Farrokh (FR)
Shaped well over hurdles last year with placed efforts before unseating rider when fourth and going well in 2¼m chase at Thurles in November. Claims if ready to go back down in trip after 8 months off.
Keep On Dreaming (IRE)
Lightly-raced gelding who led until the home turn before checking out tamely when 12th of 14 at Roscommon last month, ultimately shaping as if amiss. Capable of better but comes with risks attached.
Justicialism (IRE)
Finished 2nd 3 times in a row over hurdles before third of 5 in a handicap chase at Cartmel 26 days ago. Showed promise despite not being bred for chasing. Down in trip and one to consider.
Arctic Piper (IRE)
Chase debut on return from 195 days off. Pulled up at Clonmel over hurdles when last seen in January, running badly in a first-time visor. Has now pulled up twice in her last 3 starts so hard to fancy with equipment removed on debut for a new yard.
Quinn The Eskimo (GER)
Yet to win over fences but attracted plenty of support when 6/1 for a handicap chase over C&D 22 days ago but unseated rider at the first fence. Hard to know what to expect.
Chosen Shant (IRE)
Three-time course winner, including over this trip 22 days ago in a 14-runner handicap. Up 6 lb for that win though still well handicapped on hurdles form and this looks another good opportunity for her to go well.
L'amiral Fromentin (FR)
Yet to win but bounced back from poor Roscommon run when second of 14 to Chosen Shant over C&D 22 days ago. Better off at the weights with that one here and a reproduction of that effort will see him go close.
King's Son (FR)
Third of 14 at Downpatrick on chasing debut in June, but failed to see things out when sixth of 13 in a handicap chase here 19 days ago. Steps back down in trip which should help so not without a chance.
Getaway Henry (IRE)
Won over hurdles at Clonmel in June but failed to back it up, finishing 16th of 23 in handicap at Cork 12 days ago having gone in snatches. Makes chase debut with cheekpieces back on and doesn't look easy to predict.
Only A Dollar (IRE)
Made her chasing debut when fifth of 6 in a maiden chase at Tramore in May, though the form from that race isn't the most robust and she's hard to fancy on handicap debut with hood reapplied.
Polly Poppins (IRE)
Third on chasing debut at Tramore in October but has gone backwards since and was only eighth of 14 in a handicap chase over C&D 22 days ago. Plenty more required here.
Dunany Point (IRE)
Continued out of sorts when pulled up in an 18-runner handicap hurdle over 2½m at Listowel in May. Now tries a significant step down in trip back over fences with cheekpieces removed and is best opposed.
Dontdooddson (FR)
Mid-field at best over hurdles on last 3 starts Switches back to chasing and hard to fancy on recent form.
