Timeform View

L'EAGLE AID has a previous win at this track to his name and has been shaping well so he is taken to get back to winning ways in this trappy event. The selection could do with a true gallop but both his main rivals, Something and Hibernate, like to lead so it may unfold in his favour.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

L'eagle Aid traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Explode (FR)
Shaped bit better than the result when last of 8 in first-time cheekpieces at Windsor in handicap on return from 6 months off 23 days ago, fitness perhaps being an issue. Now down in grade and upped in trip with equipment removed.
Something
Won at Ripon in May on first run for new connections with cheekpieces refitted and placed next 2 starts, though wasn't at best when third of 6 last time, possibly finding the race coming too soon. Now freshened up by a break and could be dangerous if getting his own way out in front.
L'eagle Aid (IRE)
C&D winner who has shaped with promise at Chester on last couple of starts, looking ready to win a similar event granted a strong pace to chase. Small-field scenario but a couple of these like to go on so this could work out for him.
Hibernate (IRE)
Improved when making all twice this year, including over this trip at Bath in May. Good second of 4 at Yarmouth 20 days ago, beaten a short-head by idling favourite. This looks a bit more competitive but he clearly copes well with small fields.
