Timeform View

REGAL RENAISSANCE has impressed since joining Jack Jones and can defy the handicapper again. Gwash came off worse in a battle with Alex Bleue over C&D 12 days ago but rail movements meant that race was run over nearly a furlong further than the advertised distance and Fergal O'Brien's charge can turn the tables this afternoon and give the selection most to do.

Timeform Comments

Mt Fugi Park (IRE)
Bounced back to form when making all at Market Rasen under Gina Andrews in April but merely added to his all-or-nothing profile when pulled up over C&D in May. Freshened up since.
Regal Renaissance
Completed a small-field hat-trick (first leg for Henry Daly) when seeing off 2 rivals at Market Rasen (21f, good) 17 days ago. Thriving for Jack Jones and only 2 lb higher as she goes in search of the 4-timer. Gets the vote.
Tiger Orchid (IRE)
Veteran who gained due reward for his consistency since joining the yard when ending a long losing run in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (23f, good to soft) in June. Only fifth of 6 back chasing at Cartmel since, though.
Court In A Storm (IRE)
Bumper/dual hurdle winner but has yet to land a handicap. Failed to failed on C&D chase debut second when remote last of 4 at Newton Abbot 6 weeks ago. Needs a return to this venue to spark a revival.
Jaramillo
Scored at Newton Abbot (21f) last spring. Also a creditable third at Uttoxeter in May but off since a poor run at Wincanton in November.
Harrys Hope (IRE)
Strong-travelling mare who won 3m handicap chases at Warwick and Uttoxeter last summer. Returned from 8 months off to finish second at Stratford (23f, good) 5 weeks ago but she didn't travel with her customary fluency and was beaten 16 lengths.
Gwash (IRE)
Placed in a handicap hurdle here last month and repeated the feat when ¾-length second to reopposing Axel Bleue second over C&D 3 weeks ago, just denied by a stronger stayer having travelled well. That was only his second start over fences so he may do better again. Considered.
Axel Bleue
Point/dual bumper winner who came good at the third time of asking over fences when wearing down the reopposing Gwash towards the finish over C&D 3 weeks ago. Suited by rail movements adding nearly a furlong to that race and no certainty to confirm the placings.
Grillon De Monty (FR)
Dual C&D winner last summer. Creditable second of 5 in over C&D (good to firm) 12 days ago and no reason why he won't give his running again.
