MARINER has a good record here so is taken to build on a resurgent Nottingham third (tongue tied first time) and gain a second C&D win. Albeyours rates the obvious threat on the back of her Carlisle success, with the bang-in-form Palmarian also firmly in the picture.

Timeform Comments

Chilly Breeze
A fair 5f winner for David Evans in April 2024 but little show for his current yard, just sixth of 10 in handicap at Sandown (1m) 20 days ago. Others appeal more despite a sliding mark.
Theme Park
Fourteen runs since his last win in 2024 and only fifth of 7 in handicap at Pontefract (1m) 6 days ago when very slowly away. Tongue strap goes on now.
Boubyan (IRE)
Scored at Newcastle in March. Not easy to catch right since but posted a respectable fourth of 7 at Brighton (1¼m) 16 days ago.
Mariner (IRE)
Got right back on track in a first-time tongue tie with third of 8 in handicap at Nottingham (1m) four weeks ago, faring best of those held up. Goes well here (C&D winner) so expected to be bang there eased 1 lb.
We've Got This (IRE)
Best run this season when third of 10 in handicap at Thirsk (7f) 22 days ago. Needs to back it up now.
Palmarian
Gained breakthrough success at Leicester in July and backed it up with a good second of 11 over C&D 5 days ago. Can go well again off the same mark.
Whiskey Pete (IRE)
Sole success came on his final start as a 2-y-o and has offered little in 4 starts this season. Tongue tie replaces cheekpieces now.
Albeyours
In very good nick since the cheekpieces went on and built on reappearance promise to bag 10-runner handicap at Carlisle (7f) last month. Up 4 lb but can make her presence felt again.
