Preference is for RAINTOWN, who ran a cracker up against much less-exposed rivals when third over C&D a fortnight ago and Stan Moore's 6-y-o looks ready to add to his tally. Baloo's Blues narrowly got off the mark at Lingfield last month and he'll be a danger to all if a first-time tongue tie/cheekpieces have the desired effect. Just An Hour can edge out Caph Star for minor honours.

Likeable type who ran another sound race on his first visit to Chester when fourth of 8 (12.3f, good to firm) just under 2 weeks ago, admittedly always well positioned. 1 lb below his last winning mark and should give another good account.
Caph Star
Gained first turf success at Nottingham in April and proving largely consistent faced with a relatively busy schedule given how little racing he'd had before this spring, most recently when third of 14 at York (1¼m, good to firm) last month.
One Cool Dreamer (IRE)
Dual 1¼m scorer who endured a winless 2025 but back to something like best when second over 1¾m at Wolverhampton in February. Shaped as if the run was needed on yard debut/return when seventh of 9 at Kempton (2m) recently and this should reveal more. Return to 1¼m likely a plus.
Lerwick
On a lengthy losing run and was below form when last seen earlier in the year. Upped markedly in trip and though he lurks on a dangerous mark, a watching brief is advised reappearing without headgear.
Port Louis (IRE)
Had been running miserably on the all-weather but a return to turf and/or refitted cheekpieces sparked him back to life when third of 6 at Ffos Las (1m, good to firm) last month. Upped markedly in trip and interesting to see what the market makes of him.
Baloo's Blues
Low-mileage 4-y-o who finally got off the mark by a narrow margin back on turf in 5-runner event at Lingfield (1¼m, good to firm) last month. Nudged up just 2 lb but a shade concerning connections feel prudent to reach for a first-time tongue/cheekpieces.
Raintown (IRE)
Course winner on good to firm last July. Hasn't won since but looks ready to strike judged on his recent third of 7 against much less-exposed rivals over C&D (firm) a fortnight ago. Worth chancing from an unchanged mark but jockey has just her second ride under Rules.
Zambezi Magic
Ffos Las specialist but didn't give himself a chance to get competitive in a race named in his honour there last month, always on the back foot having been slowly away.
Alazwar (IRE)
C&D winner last spring who ran one of this season's better races from a steadily declining mark when second of 9 at Chepstow (1¼m, good) last month. Task is to build on that but whether he'll be in the same form is anyone's guess.
