Timeform View

ARAVALLI has proven a different proposition switched to firmer ground for her new yard, landing back-to-back Chepstow handicaps in recent week and a 6 lb penalty for the second of them may not be enough to stop her from completing a quick-fire hat-trick. Shirakawa also arrives in search of the 3-timer and is next best ahead of David O'Meara handicap debutante Talitha Rouge.

Timeform Comments

Huggable
Relatively lightly-raced 4-y-o who opened her account over 1¼m at Epsom in August before twice finishing runner-up last season (latterly over this C&D). Not yet kicked on from Nottingham reappearance in 2 subsequent runs this summer but her mark is steadily easing. Tongue strap on first time.
Pershalla
Caused a surprise in a first-time hood when winning at Kempton (1½m) in April. Mostly respectable efforts since and not seen to best effect ridden more patiently than usual when fifth at Brighton (1¼m, good to firm) 16 days ago. However, this looks more demanding.
Talitha Rouge (IRE)
Space Blues filly who ran to a similarly fair level in all 3 starts in maiden/novice company, again not looking the finished article when third at Pontefract (1¼m) earlier this month on third of them. Opening mark looks fair and booking of Murphy catches the eye.
Aravalli (IRE)
Australia filly who has thrived away from the mud for new yard, opening her account at Chepstow (1½m) at the start of the month and improving further to follow up over this trip back there 7 days ago. Manner of that display suggests there could be more to come and she looks well-in under a penalty.
Shirakawa
Took a step forward when opening her account at Bath in June and proved a 5 lb rise on the lenient side when edging out a fellow last-time-out winner at Salisbury (1¼m, good to firm) 12 days ago. Had benefit of an uncontested lead then but respected nevertheless in hat-trick bid.
Albertini Star (IRE)
Showed promise on second of 3 starts in maidens as a 2-y-o and, equipped with a hood following 7 months off, took a step forward when second of 8 on handicap debut at Nottingham (1m) 3 weeks ago. Increase in trip may help now and she's not out of things.
We Ride At Dawn
Maiden who left her reappearance/stable debut effort well behind when second over this trip at Windsor in June. Backed up the improvement shown there in what was a deeper race when fourth at Bath (11.6f) since and this return to shorter certainly won't inconvenience her.
