Timeform View

SAIL ON SAILOR shaped as if still some way ahead of his mark when bringing up the hat-trick over further at Epsom 2 weeks ago and he looks to have been found a good opening to complete the 4-timer taking on his elders for the first time. Easy Brighton scorer Gone Rogue, Lodge and Billy Mill are others fancied to be thereabouts.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Sail On Sailor traded at more than 5 times Betfair SP twice and 2 times Betfair SP when winning on 3 of its last 5 starts: Lodge traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Billy Mill
Admirable sort who enhanced his already solid Kempton record when again finding only one too good over 1m there in June. Poorly placed when midfield over same C&D 3 weeks ago and he's no forlorn hope from this sort of mark back on turf.
Lodge (IRE)
Made a winning debut at Ffos Las (6f) last summer. Possibly not the easiest to train given sporadic appearances since but took a step back in right direction equipped with a first-time tongue strap when fifth at Leicester (6f) 3 weeks ago. Steps up to 1m now with Murphy an eye-catching booking.
Double Time
Won on turf at Windsor and all-weather at Kempton (both 1m) in 2025. Off since a below-par effort at Southwell in January and got to be a chance he'll need this.
Ararat (IRE)
Winner of back-to-back 6f handicaps at Southwell for Robert Cowell last autumn. Best effort since joining present yard when third at Newbury (7f) in June but unable to build on that from career-low mark at Ascot (7f) latest. Drop back into class 5 company a plus, at least.
Prodigal Son
Got off the mark at Bath (1m) in April and matched that form when close third back there in May. Hasn't replicated that either outing more recently, posing no win threat when making late headway into fourth at Epsom (8.5f) 2 weeks ago.
Amused (IRE)
Won a 7f claimer in France last summer. Posted easily one of his better efforts for this yard when second at Lingfield in June but a long way below that level both starts since (reared badly leaving stalls over C&D latest).
Marsh Benham (IRE)
Temperamental sort who looked a particularly hard ride when sixth at Kempton (1m) in December but ran well after 7 months off when second at Brighton (1m) 23 days ago, albeit without threatening. Hard to know whether he'll be in the same form here, though.
Gone Rogue (IRE)
Ended last season in good form and back to something like his best going without the cheekpieces when resuming winning ways in ready fashion at Brighton (1¼m) 16 days ago. Headgear goes back on now and 2 lb rise looks lenient.
Sail On Sailor
Arrives firmly on the up, shaping as if still some way ahead of his mark when overcoming a pace bias to bring up the hat-trick at Epsom (1¼m) 2 weeks ago. Up only 3 lb and sure to be highly competitive again now taking on his elders for the first time.
Strong Voice (IRE)
Nando Parrado colt who showed improved form following a breathing operation/12 weeks off when second on handicap debut at Ffos Las (7.4f) 24 days ago. However, that race became a dash from 2 furlongs out and neither the third/fourth have advertised the form since.
Berning Hot (IRE)
Scored at Brighton (7f) last summer and back to her best when second at Kempton (1m) in May. Beat only one rival at Beverley (1m) last time, though, and this is a deeper affair.
Dalmally
Sole success came at Brighton (1m) back in October 2024 and he's produced 2 of his better efforts for his current yard at that venue, latterly when third over 7f 16 days ago. This step back up to 1m looks a good move but others appeal more for win purposes in this higher grade.
