Timeform View

This can go the way of class-dropper URBAN WARRIOR. The main danger could be Saachi, who was in good heart when last seen on the Flat.

Timeform Comments

Night Bear
Veteran on a long losing run. Did go close at this track twice earlier in the year. Wasn't quite in that form (reportedly lost a shoe) when fourth (1 length behind Koko Blue) at Brighton latest. Claims if back on song in a change of headgear.
Zucayan (FR)
Fair 2m hurdle winner who looked set to place when falling at Uttoxeter in early-June. Hasn't made any significant impact on the Flat, though does at least drop in grade/tackle a longer trip on his return.
Urban Warrior
Low-mileage 4-y-o. Finished solid fourth in much better race at Yarmouth (1¼m) in May. Well-backed and still in good heart when 4 lengths third there (1¾m) last time. Makes plenty of appeal eased further in grade with Jason Hart taking over.
Koko Blue
4-y-o maiden. Finished ahead of a couple of next-time-out winners when third on stable debut/reappearance at Windsor. Finished respectable 7¼ lengths third at Brighton subsequently, and that form looks solid enough for the grade.
Dissident
Successful over hurdles at Doncaster in December. Form has been more miss than hit under both codes since. Hard to be confident that change of headgear will see him capitalise on tumbling mark.
Lednikov
Three-time C&D winner has been operating below his best in recent months. Probably closer to the pace than ideal at Pontefract latest and now back on same mark as when decisively winning a course handicap (1¾m) in March.
Saachi (IRE)
Rediscovered his form in spring when nearly making it a double in classified company at Lingfield. Given a break since running no sort of race over hurdles in early-May and could be worth another chance back in low-grade handicap on the Flat.
Quirke On Parole
Sole success came in this grade off 4 lb higher at Beverley last summer. Dictated/stopped slide when 3½ lengths third in a slightly better race at Nottingham (1¼m) last time. Certainly worth a go over this longer trip.
Belle Of Kt
Largely consistent sort who got off the mark in classified company at Wolverhampton in March. Wasted no time getting back to form when 2¼ lengths third in similar event at Lingfield latest. Step back into handicaps demands a bit more, though.
Late Claim (FR)
Sole success came on handicap bow at Lingfield last December. Looked back in form switched to classified company in June but made little impact returned to a handicap last time.
