Timeform View

SIROCCO SANDS impressed when going in at York last month and this strong-travelling sort can follow up at the chief expense of Grayrobin who also looks to have better days ahead of him after a stylish Bellewstown success. Both La Tache and Star Prospect could also play a prominent role in this intriguing contest.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

The pace doesn’t look like being overly strong here and Grayrobin should still be served best by being ridden prominently: Despite a suspicion the pace will be sound, those held up such as Star Prospect usually is are still likely to have their work cut out.

Timeform Comments

La Tache (IRE)
Improving son of Mehmas who bagged 11-runner maiden at the Curragh (5f) 5 days ago, despite being slowly away. Trainer going well and he's open to further progress.
Star Prospect (IRE)
Looked highly promising when making a winning debut at the Curragh in April but below that level both runs since, thirteenth of 21 in Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot 34 days ago. Could still do better back in these calmer waters.
Grayrobin
Debut Nottingham eighth for Archie Watson. Much improved for new yard when landing 9-runner maiden at Bellewstown (5f) 22 days ago. Speedy, and this Havana Grey colt can progress again.
Sirocco Sands (IRE)
Persian Force colt who has progressed with each of his 3 runs, travelling powerfully when bagging 11-runner novice at York (6f) 27 days ago. Well on top at the finish there and the one to beat.
Lars Soldier (IRE)
Landed 5f maiden at the Curragh in April. Not disgraced when fourth of 8 in nursery there (6f) 5 days ago. Bit more needed in this company.
Belle Island
Placed on first 2 starts at Dundalk in the spring but well held on her last 2 runs at Naas and in 6f Curragh nursery. Needs to take a big step forward.
Celestial Crown (IRE)
Promising debut second here but well held both subsequent starts, eighth of 10 in listed race at Naas (5f) 20 days ago. Needs to bounce back.
Hi Corbett Court (IRE)
Starman colt shaped well when debut third in 6f maiden at Navan but tongue tied when beating just one in maiden at the Curragh (6f) since.
