Timeform View

VELOCIRAPTOR was yet another juvenile to produce a promising debut effort for the Hugo Palmer stable when third at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago and he can make it second time lucky here with progress anticipated. Sea Idol remains with his best days ahead of him and edges preference for second over Storm Blade.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Velociraptor traded at a low of 7.20 and Betfair SP of 38.26 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

Katie's Cavalier (IRE)
Son of Kodi Bear who ran better than he had on his second start without threatening when sixth of 11 in a C&D seller 6 weeks ago. Gelded thereafter and nurseries will likely see him in a better light moving forward.
Parry Green
Showed nothing when last of 11 in a Carlisle maiden (7f) on debut 31 days ago.
Royal Titan (USA)
Son of Bolt d'Oro who proved far too free on Lingfield debut and despite going off hard, showed obvious ability when seventh of 12 in a Wolverhampton maiden (7f) 11 days ago. Will need to step forward again to land this.
Sea Idol
Sea The Moon gelding who was a promising second despite showing obvious inexperience when second on debut at Southwell (7f) in May. Still green when fourth at Lingfield since and he remains capable of better, not least when granted a more galloping test.
Storm Blade
Hails from family connections know well and he's run to a fair level both outings to date, looking suited by the step up to this trip when fifth at Sandown 3 weeks ago. Plum draw to operate from and likely he can do better still, not least when tackling nurseries.
Velociraptor
Lope Y Fernandez colt who has plenty about him physically and he was another juvenile from his yard to produce a promising first effort when third of 7 in a Newmarket novice (7f) 2 weeks ago. Will improve and he rates the one to beat here.
