Timeform View

Most of these ran at the Royal Meeting with DARK ISSUE bringing the best form to the table having pulled clear with the front 3 when fourth in the Albany over C&D. Alta Regina shaped as if this extra 1f will suit when sixth in the Queen Mary so is next best ahead of Moonrise, who lost out only late in the Windsor Castle over this distance.

Timeform Comments

Alta Regina (IRE)
240,000 gns breezer who justified market support with ease on her 5f Lingfield debut (turf). Better form when sixth of 27 in Queen Mary here next time, shaping as if this extra 1f will suit. More to come.
Dark Issue (IRE)
Created very favourable impression when a decisive winner on debut at Goodwood and shaped well when fourth of 25 in C&D Albany at Royal Meeting, pulling clear with the first 3. The one to beat.
Dee's Funny Girl (IRE)
Made a winning start in weak maiden at Thirsk and left that bare form well behind when sixth of 25 in Albany over C&D last month, still green. Has left Michael Keady and could still have more to offer.
Glorious Game
Pinatubo filly. Closely related to smart winner up to 9f Feliciana de Vega. Knew her job in becoming her stable's fifth 2-y-o to make a winning debut this year at Windsor and showed good attitude to force a dead heat in Newmarket listed race last month. More needed again at this level.
Harlequin Sky (IRE)
Confirmed debut promise at the second attempt when an excellent third of 25 in Windsor Castle over C&D last month, doing well considering she started her effort from stone last. In the mix.
Magnesium
Stepped up on debut when landing weak novice at Kempton but was out of her depth in the Albany here and it looks the same again.
Miss Kodi (IRE)
€95,000 Kodi Bear filly. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart 2-y-o 6f winner Arcano. Wide-margin winner of Chepstow novice 6 weeks ago, quickened clear final 1f despite some tail flashes. Placed horses have since boosted that form and stable won the Norfolk at the Royal Meeting last month.
Moonrise (IRE)
Churchill filly who made a winning start to her career in novice at Kempton and ran a stormer when runner-up in the Windsor Castle over C&D at the Royal Meeting, always in the firing line and losing out only late on. Must be considered.
Nuit D'eclair (IRE)
280,000 gns yearling, Night of Thunder filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful 2-y-o 5f/6f winner Attagirl. Dam 2-y-o 5f/6f winner. Looked good value when beating a subsequent winner in Newbury novice on debut 23 days ago. This a big step up but she clearly has potential.
The Can Can Queen
Sharper for debut when winning novice at Ripon. Not seen to best effect in Hilary Needler at Beverley before excellent ½-length third to Glorious Game in listed race at Newmarket, albeit having run of the race.
Velozee (IRE)
Sioux Nation filly who made it 2-2 in a 5f listed race at the Curragh but limitations rather exposed in better company since, though shaped as if worth another try at this trip having made late headway in the Queen Mary here.
