SPORTS DAY is taken to get back on track under a good-value 7 lb apprentice. Riddikulus won well at this course earlier in the month and will be thereabouts if bouncing back from a below-par effort last time, whilst Baldosa can usually be relied upon to give her running.

Timeform Comments

Sports Day (IRE)
Improved for the switch to handicaps this spring when placed twice at Yarmouth but hasn't kicked on since. Stable amongst the winners of late, however, and good-value apprentice booked dropping into 0-60 company for the first time. Respected.
Balmoral Boy (IRE)
Fared a bit better than previously when 5 lengths fourth of 7 to Vega's Virtue in handicap at this course last time. This requires more, though.
Lc Tiffen
Well held in varied events.
Baldosa (IRE)
Gained a first win at the twelfth attempt in 6-runner handicap at Nottingham (1¼m) in July and followed that up with at least as good an effort when 1½ lengths third of 8 to Sahm Naif at Redcar last time. Entitled to give her running again.
Riddikulus
Produced an improved effort in reapplied blinkers when winning 8-runner 1½m handicap here earlier this month but underperformed in similar event at Catterick 5 days ago. Return to this track a positive and looks worth another chance.
Harswell River (IRE)
Redcar winner who added to her good record at that course when neck second of 8 to Sahm Naif in handicap there 8 days ago. Sure to be involved if reproducing that performance here.
Diamond Aura (IRE)
Still a maiden but she signed off for Hugo Palmer with a good second of 10 in handicap at Leicester (1¼m) earlier this month and shaped as if still in form when 2 lengths fourth of 8 to Sahm Naif in handicap at Redcar last time.
