MASKED WARRIOR looked tapped for toe when they quickened in a modestly-run affair at Chester on handicap debut 6 weeks ago so is well worth another chance to resume his progress. Noelan Star probably found the Britannia coming too soon in his development so is feared most having looked promising before that.

Beyond The Bar might not get things all its own way near the head of affairs but shouldn’t be held back by that alone: The forecast decent pace still isn’t likely to sway the advantage towards those usually ridden further back such as is Masked Warrior.

Command The Stars (IRE)
Winner of 3 of his half-a-dozen starts at 2 yrs, most notably a French listed race in September. Work to do off current mark as a result but he wasn't seen to best effect at Chester before stiff task under a penalty in the Cocked Hat at Goodwood. Has since been gelded.
Noelan Star (GER)
Bolted up at Newcastle on debut in December and not hard pressed to land the odds under a penalty there on return. Lost unbeaten record conceding lumps of weight at Doncaster (surrounded by subsequent winners) before finding Britannia at Royal Ascot coming too soon. Could well get back on the up.
Masked Warrior
Shrugged off a disappointing reappearance when comfortable winner of 7f Kempton novice in first-time headgear. Matched that form despite shaping as if emphasis on speed was against him when third at Chester on handicap bow next time and he's well worth another chance to resume progress.
Daydreama
Dual 6f winner last year and was a good second at York in May but has struggled since. Handicapper has at least given him a chance.
Enchant (IRE)
Wootton Bassett filly who reached £300,000 as a 2-y-o and landed the odds in 3-runner novice at Pontefract on debut last summer. Not disgraced under a penalty on belated comeback at Doncaster 6 weeks ago but was reported to have finished lame on her right fore. Bred to stay this far.
Beyond The Bar (IRE)
Made all in good style to win Redcar novice in the autumn and finally matched that form in a handicap when repeating the same tactics at Catterick 19 days ago. 3 lb rise looks fair but now has to prove he can string 2 good efforts together.
