LONDON IS BLUE is less exposed than most of these and shouldn't be long in defying this kind of mark, so makes most appeal. Merrimack has been holding his form well this season and is also shortlisted, alongside Hint of Humour.

Timeform Comments

Moe's Legacy
Made a winning return at Wolverhampton and went close to doubling her tally for the season at Bath on her penultimate start. Not in same form in a 6-runner event there last time out but best form would give her a chance after a short break.
Alkuwarrior (IRE)
Failed to beat a rival on first 3 starts for new connections but seemed transformed by first-time cheekpieces when doubling his tally in 8-runner handicap at Ffos Las (5f, soft) early last month. Not disgraced under quicker conditions when fifth of 7 at this C&D 4 weeks ago and he's not discounted.
Kiss And Run
Close second at C&D in May and ran creditably enough when third at Lingfield on her penultimate. Probably paid the price for doing too much in front when seventh of 12 in handicap (9/1) at this course (6f, good to firm) 14 days ago. Now back at last winning mark.
Beaumadier (IRE)
Won twice over 5f at Wolverhampton over the winter and returned to turf in good order, backing up his Thirsk performance when second at Nottingham (5f) early this month. Shaped as if still in good form from wide track position when fifth of 11 in handicap at Chester (5f, good to firm) 16 days ago,
Merrimack
C&D winner who has finished placed on 4 of his 5 turf starts this season (badly hampered other occasion), most recently when second of 6 in handicap at Bath (5.7f, firm) 12 days ago.
London Is Blue
Improved to win back-to-back Brighton nurseries last summer. Probably would've won had he broken on terms when a close second in a 4-runner handicap at Yarmouth (5f, firm) 12 days ago and this unexposed type is of serious interest.
Magna
Has enjoyed a very productive 2026, gaining fourth win in 6f Wolverhampton handicap in May. Yet to show her form on turf though, so others appeal more on this occasion.
Hint Of Humour
Three-time winner on all-weather during 2025. Finished runner up 3 times earlier this year and stepped up from her return from a short break when third of 5 in handicap (4/1) at Ffos Las (5f, good) 34 days ago. Respected.
In The City
Competitive in maidens/novices last summer but has returned out of sorts, folding alarmingly tamely on her last 2 starts. Cheekpieces now applied.
Dark Alley
Made the most of a good opportunity when winning a 6f Bath maiden last summer and ran well returning from 7 months off when fifth of 9 in handicap at Goodwood (5f, good to firm) in May. Not in same form at C&D last time and his mark probably remains on the stiff side.
Too Darn Good (IRE)
Winless in 10 starts but did at least show first form for current connections equipped with first-time cheekpieces when third at Goodwood (5f) last month. Failed to beat any of his 4 rivals at Brighton last time, though.
Angel Summer (IRE)
Creditable fourth over 1m at Lingfield last month without really convincing with her stamina for the trip and again finished a shade tamely at Doncaster since. Opposable dropping to 5f having left Conrad Allen.
