Carmel’s Phoenix has won her last 2 starts, including on hurdles debut, and looks the chief threat with further progress on the cards, while Arouet is respected if transferring his useful Flat ability to this sphere.

Useful Flat performer who stepped up on hurdling debut third when cosily winning a 14-runner maiden hurdle at Cork in May by 2¼ lengths from Karlynn. That form has worked out well and, while this is significantly tougher, he remains capable of better still in this sphere.
Mento (FR)
Went with little promise in a pair of bumpers but proved a different proposition switched to hurdles, winning a 14-runner conditionals maiden at Kilbeggan in May by ¾ length from Imarajan. He's clearly open to further progress, but this looks a stiff task all the same.
Mino Des Mottes (FR)
French bumper winner who showed some promise over hurdles for Willie Mullins last season before getting off the mark on debut for Gordon Elliott 23 days ago, winning a 7-runner novice hurdle at Bellewstown by 10 lengths from Beauvallon. This requires more, though.
Carmel's Phoenix (IRE)
A fairly useful maiden winner on the Flat, who quickly made a positive impression over hurdles when easily landing an 8-runner maiden at Kilbeggan in June. That performance sets the standard here and, with progress likely - not least in the jumping stakes - she's clearly one for the shortlist.
Dawn Coming (IRE)
Placed on each of his 6 maiden hurdle starts. Sent off favourite and shaped better than the result suggests when 3½ lengths third of 9 to Early Dawning in maiden at Killarney 11 days ago, leaving the impression he had more to give at the line. Any market support should be seriously noted.
Like An Ocean (IRE)
Crystal Ocean filly who made the perfect start to her career when winning a 14-runner maiden hurdle at Roscommon 3 weeks ago by a neck from Minella Moon Shine. She's entitled to build on that, but she'll need to do so significantly if she's to maintain her unbeaten record in this company.
Munsif (IRE)
Useful winner on Flat for Roger Varian and has shaped well on several occasions over hurdles, though has yet to win in 6 attempts, chasing home Porcupine Bank at Ballinrobe on latest. Type to be suited by a large-field and a strong pace, so this is unlikely to be an ideal scenario.
William F Browne (IRE)
Fair up to 1m on the Flat but not always the stoutest of finishers. No encouragement to be gleaned from either of his hurdling starts to date and, for all he has run respectably back on the Flat since, this looks fanciful.
Witches Familiar (FR)
Zarak filly who could hardly have made a better start to her career when demolishing a 10-runner 4-y-o fillies maiden at Ballinrobe in May by 12 lengths from Ismahane, showing good speed for one so stoutly bred. Open to improvement and rates a major player for top yard with good record in this race.
Tex Amare (GER)
Runner-up in 1¼m Munich maiden in October 2025 and has shown promise when placed on both starts over hurdles, racing freely when 11¼ lengths third of 7 to Mino des Mottes in novice at Punchestown on latest. Hood now removed and needs to step up significantly.
The Chancie Grey (IRE)
Has posed little win threat when down the field on both outings in maiden hurdles and looks out of her depth in this company.
