Timeform View

STAR START landed a share of the spoils in this last year with the same rider in the saddle and can open his account for the year from a reduced mark. The Tim Easterby trained pair, Sunny Orange and Perfidia, make most appeal of the rest.

Timeform Comments

Sandret (IRE)
Revived for this yard last season, winning at Redcar and Thirsk in late summer. Went backwards from reappearance when last of 8 in handicap at Pontefract (1¼m, good to firm, 12/1) 29 days ago. Has a bit to prove all of a sudden.
Perfidia (IRE)
Generally reliable performer who landed a second win of the season when making all at Nottingham last month. Has gone close when second both starts since and should be on the premises again after a further 3 lb rise in the weights.
Stipulation (IRE)
Consistent performer on the all-weather during the winter. Has failed to make an impact last 3 starts but gets further help from the handicapper.
Sunny Orange (IRE)
Four-time course winner albeit over shorter trips. Creditable second of 9 in handicap (11/1) over C&D (good to firm) 2 weeks ago. Should go well again.
Alazwar (IRE)
Produced one of this season's better efforts when second of 9 in handicap at Chepstow (1¼m, good, 14/1) in June. Has dropped to a handy mark but isn't guaranteed to be in the same form.
Star Start (IRE)
Dead heated in this last year. Back on track when third of 9 in handicap over C&D (good to firm, 17/2) 14 days ago, very much having run of race. Finished one place behind Sunny Orange then, but has to be taken seriously from this mark.
Little She (FR)
Remains a maiden after 18 runs. Placed at Leicester and Chepstow before finding her run of form coming to an end at Brighton last time. Can bounce back.
The Pug (IRE)
Hasn't been the easiest to catch right but he produced best performance of the year on debut for this yard (formerly with Micky Hammond) when third at Chepstow last month. Unseated rider next time before finishing well held at Wolverhampton last week. Has the cheekpieces back on.
