Timeform View

ROOTS IN TOUCHE was rather disappointing on the back of a promising debut second when only fourth at Catterick 38 days ago but she still appeals as worthy of another chance to get back on the up. Market support behind sole rival and newcomer Funky Dory would need to be viewed positively, however, given the stable she hails from.

Timeform Comments

Funky Dory (IRE)
Foaled March 7. €48,000 yearling, Dandy Man filly. Dam, 5f winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 9f Devonshire (won Ridgewood Pearl Stakes). Her leading yard boasts an impressive record of 15-50 with 2-y-o debutants so far this season and she commands obvious respect.
Roots In Touche (IRE)
£165,000 breeze-up buy who produced a promising first effort when second in a Beverley conditions event (5f) in May, green early but coming home well. Subsequent Catterick fourth has to go down as disappointing on that basis but she's worth another chance to get back on the up.
