Timeform View

TRICKY JENNY is weighted to reverse last month's near miss behind Sheer Beauty and she gets the vote in an open-looking novice. Northern raider Havana Gift is feared most, with Texas Crown also respected.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Tricky Jenny could be advantaged by a prominent position which looks likely in this field: Of the better-fancied horses, Havana Gift is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Timeform Comments

Sheer Beauty (IRE)
Improved from debut when overcoming a less-than-clear passage to win a 5f course novice last time. Now 7 lb worse off with Tricky Jenny, who only finished a nose behind her.
Crimson Blaze
Has undergone a breathing operation following another backward step at Ripon in mid-May. Isn't one to totally write off given her debut effort wasn't devoid of promise.
Havana Gift
Chased home a fairly useful sort in a Musselburgh seller (5f) last month. No match for a classier one in a 3-runner nursery at Nottingham latest. Looks an interesting class-dropper for Yorkshire-based stable.
Texas Crown
Left debut form well behind/probably should have won when narrow second in C&D novice (150/1) last time. Will be much shorter in the market here and ought to go well with more experienced apprentice taking over.
Thai Boxer
Foaled March 16. Bangkok colt. Dam 1m-1¼m winner who stayed 1½m. Will surely need time/distance.
Zonneveld
Held back by inexperience when down the field on debut at Chepstow. One for the longer term.
Tricky Jenny
Ran her best race when narrowly pipped by Sheer Beauty (denied a clear run) in course maiden (5f) earlier this month. Reopposes on better terms and looks the pick at the weights with good-value apprentice taking over.
