Timeform View

HONKY TONK GIRL sets the standard following a much-improved performance at Nottingham last time. Elmfield would appeal if supported, while Nzuri should be in the hunt for the places.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Honky Tonk Girl traded at a low of 10.00 and Betfair SP of 11.32 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

It's A Mugs Game
Made an unpromising start to his career in a C&D maiden (soft) for James Tate last September. Subsequently gelded and leap of faith required on reappearance/stable debut.
Kodicall (IRE)
Bred to be speedy. Finished 5¼ lengths fifth of 7 first time up at Ffos Las (5f, 125/1). Will need to build on that to be competitive, for all this is a weaker race.
Elmfield (IRE)
50,000 gns Kodi Bear filly. Needed the experience on debut at Kempton. Too free without cover at Doncaster subsequently. Probably has a bigger performance in her and the market can guide.
Honky Tonk Girl
Dream Ahead filly (half-sister to yard's useful Dr Strangelove). Switch to front-running saw her finish a much-improved third in a Nottingham maiden (6f) last time. Repeat performance should be enough to get off the mark.
Nzuri
Fair maiden for Jack Channon. Solid start for new yard with in-frame finishes in sprint handicaps at Newbury/Leicester. Worth a go in first-time cheekpieces and should give her running back in novice company.
Kaiko
Has shown only temperament in 2 starts to date.
