WAARDAH can repeat last year's success in this having shaped well behind subsequent Group 1 winner Estrange in the Pinnacle Stakes at Carlisle on her return. Danielle pushed the selection close in this 12 months ago and may emerge as the chief threat again, though Consent escapes a penalty for her Group 1 win at Longchamp and is likely to bounce back from her underwhelming reappearance.

Timeform Comments

Santorini Star (IRE)
Held off Consent in the Park Hill at Doncaster last season and beat the males when making a winning return in Jockey Club at Newmarket. Narrowly denied in Longchamp Group 1 next time before excuses in the Hardwicke. Fast ground would be a concern, however, and also has a 3 lb penalty.
Consent (IRE)
Progressed well through the ranks last season, just edged out by Santorini Star in the Park Hill at Doncaster before turning that form around in no uncertain terms when wide-margin winner of the Prix de Royallieu at Longchamp. Below par in Group 1 there on return but well worth another chance.
Danielle
Good ¾-length second to Waardah in this race 12 months ago and ended the campaign with a wide-margin win in a listed event at Doncaster (heavy). Made the most of a good opportunity in Group 3 at York on return and another bold bid is expected.
Goodie Two Shoes (IRE)
Completed a hat-trick in Group 3 at Leopardstown last season before 5-length third behind Waardah in this. Signed off 2025 with an excellent second in the Melbourne Cup and left comeback run behind when second in Group 3 at Leopardstown. Unraced on going firmer than good.
Little Dorrit
Consistent rather than progressive but that could all change now stepping up in trip, though she needs to improve a chunk to make presence felt at this level.
Waardah (IRE)
Much improved upped in distance last summer, storming clear for listed success here (1¼m) before beating Danielle and Goodie Two Shoes when following up in this. Not in quite the same form at Ascot on Champions Day but shaped well when second in Group 3 at Carlisle on return. Big shout.
Amelia Earhart (IRE)
Took 5 goes to win a race at 2 but she looked a different proposition stepped up in trip when making a winning return in Cheshire Oaks. However, disappointed in the Oaks at Epsom next time and she was never a threat in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh when tried in this headgear.
