Timeform View

Three-year-olds have won 6 of the last 7 runnings so it's perhaps best to focus on the younger generation. ROMANTIC SYMPHONY got her career firmly back on track after her blip in the Lingfield Oaks Trial when second in a French listed race and is preferred to improving duo Gone By and Sunshine Star.

Timeform Comments

Francophone
Won a 1m listed race on the Rowley course here last autumn. Bast effort this year when creditable 4½ lengths fourth of 8 to Moody in Group 3 at the Curragh (1¼m, good to firm) 14 days ago. First attempt at 1½m.
Miss Justice
Useful mare who isn't long with this yard and has made the frame on her last 2 starts, including when wearing first-time tongue strap (joined by a hood now) in C&D Group 2 last month. Could be on the premises again.
Orchard Keeper (IRE)
Fairly useful course winner. Ended 2025 with a creditable 4½ lengths fourth of 13 to Term of Endearment in listed race at Bath (1¾m, good) in October. Absent for 9 months ahead of slightly belated reappearance so it might be best to look elsewhere.
Orionis
Well-bred Sea The Stars filly who improved again when landing a 1½m Goodwood listed race on reappearance. Below that level in 2 listed events since, although she was caught further back than ideal when 2 lengths third (Revoir behind) over C&D latterly.
Revoir
Without a win since her debut success at Nottingham but has finished runner-up 5 times at listed level, including first 2 outings this year. Does need to shrug off a lesser run over this C&D (Orionis ahead of her) a fortnight ago, though.
Ryka (IRE)
Enhanced her good strike rate when winning a listed race at Toulouse (1½m) with a bit in hand last October. Below par in similar event on reappearance at the beginning of May and off again since.
Gone By (IRE)
Bumped into useful prospects on first 2 starts and made no mistake when long odds-on for Ripon maiden in June. Useful effort when following up on Salisbury handicap debut (1½m, good) 32 days ago. This is a step up in class but she's capable of better again.
Romantic Symphony (IRE)
Dubawi filly from a top family. Won novices on first 2 starts and bounced back from a disappointing effort in the Lingfield Oaks Trial when ½-length second of 9 in listed race at Longchamp (1½m, good) 6 weeks ago. Unlikely she's reached her limit and gets the vote.
Sunshine Star
Sea The Stars filly who confirmed her debut promise at the second time of asking when readily seeing off 12 rivals in novice at Lingfield (1¼m, all-weather) in June. Would have gone close to following up on Windsor handicap debut (1¼m, good to firm) but for being denied a clear run. More to come.
