Timeform View

An extremely trappy nursery. WELEYFF found plenty once rolling at Ayr last time and may be able to repeat the feat on the long home straight here. Eighth Immortal is feared stepping back up to 7f, along with likely improver Prince Kameo.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Lincoln Warrior traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP, 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 3 starts.

Timeform Comments

Encounter (IRE)
Well-backed second on debut at Lingfield. Improved despite trouble in running when 1½ lengths third at Sandown (7f) before running below form over same C&D. Handicapper hasn't missed him, though presumably thought capable of better (again supported last time).
Weleyff (IRE)
145,000 gns Too Darn Hot colt. Underlined an encouraging start when making it second time lucky at Ayr (7f), clocking some notable closing sectionals off a slow gallop (fourth franked the form since). Capable of following up on handicap bow, though may again have to overcome a pace bias.
Eighth Immortal (IRE)
Shaped well when second in a strong Leicester maiden (7f) on debut. Didn't seem to relish the sharper test when third at Chester (6f) subsequently. Should find this more his bag and has very solid claims on nursery debut.
Lincoln Warrior (IRE)
Left his debut form well behind when runner-up at Wolverhampton (6f) last month. That's proved reasonable form for an all-weather novice and he since ran respectably when 3¾ lengths fourth on turf debut at Chester (6f). Could do better switched to a longer trip/nursery.
Prince Kameo
Son of Kameko who cost 48,000 gns. Gone backwards since showing ability on debut at Lingfield (6f). Has been gelded by shrewd, in-form stable prior to this nursery debut, and he's expected to make more of an impact up in trip.
