Timeform View

MARINER has returned to form on his last 2 starts, nearest at the finish when fourth at this course on his latest outing, and he could be ready to take advantage of his reduced mark. Super Hit is feared most having been rejuvenated by James Owen, ahead of Whiskey Pete who has dropped a long way in the weights.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Super Hit traded at a high of 29.00 and Betfair SP of 4.50 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Super Hit (FR)
Not long with yard which does well with new recruits and has benefited from stepping up in trip with hood refitted, making it 2 wins from his last 3 starts when overcoming a slow gallop at Windsor 12 days ago. Much respected.
Cosmos Raj
Successful 3 times in 2025 but ended the campaign out of form and has fared no better this season, again finishing well held at Thirsk (1m) 16 days ago.
Mariner (IRE)
Unlucky not to win over 1m here in April and, after a couple of lesser efforts, has got back on track with tongue strap applied last 2 starts. Met trouble in running when fourth of 8 at this course (1m) 9 days ago and he's a major player back up in trip.
Magic Runner (GER)
Both career wins over 9.5f at Wolverhampton, the latest in January. Had been in good heart until a below-par effort there in March and down the field at Lingfield next time. Has dropped below her last winning mark, though, if ready to go after 4 months off.
Whiskey Pete (IRE)
Struggled for consistency last year for current yard but placed twice over this C&D. In first-time tongue strap, got more involved than previously this season when 3¾ lengths sixth of 8 here (1m) 9 days ago and he lurks on a dangerous mark back up in trip.
Steps In Time (IRE)
Went the wrong way last season for David O'Meara and little form in 3 starts over hurdles for present stable, pulled up the last twice including at Cartmel 12 days ago. Cheekpieces reached for back on the Flat.
