COROLLA POINT has been shaping up well and is taken to resume winning ways. His stablemate Fluorescence has shown enough in listed/Group races on her last 2 outings to think a mark of 90 is workable and she's second choice ahead of Jordan Electrics and Manila Scouse.

Timeform Comments

Corolla Point (IRE)
Made a fine start for current yard (formerly with Charlie Appleby) last September when bagging handicaps at Haydock and over C&D. Has shaped well in defeat on all 3 outings this year and taken to resume winning ways now.
Purosangue
On long losing run but after leaving Andrew Balding he's shaped with some encouragement on all 3 outings for new yard, including at Newcastle (5f) 36 days ago.
Arklow Lad (IRE)
Made it 3 wins in 5 starts for Mick Appleby when landing 20-runner Dash at Epsom (5f, soft) in June. Seen to maximum effect that day but most of his rise is offset by Conor Whiteley's claim.
Another Baar
Produced a career best when winning in Bahrain (5f) in January. Hasn't kicked on since then, although he was hampered at the start at Newcastle last time.
Solar Aclaim (IRE)
Back to best to win 5f course handicap in June and excuses at Chester since.
Fluorescence
Took her form up to a useful level when landing a Redcar handicap (5f) last summer. Creditable fourth of 15 in 5f Ayr listed race in June and better than the result in 6f York Group 3 since. The return to 5f will suit and one of 2 leading contenders for Ed Bethell.
Vantheman (IRE)
C&D winner in May. 5/1, respectable fourth of 7 in handicap at Pontefract (5f, good) 15 days ago.
Jordan Electrics
Three-time C&D winner, including this race in 2024. Back to winning ways in first-time cheekpieces at Ayr (6f, firm) 12 days ago. A 4 lb rise shouldn't prevent another prominent showing if the headgear continues to work.
Canon's House
Won 4 times in 2025, including over C&D. Back to form on all-weather last twice, latterly finishing third of 9 at Southwell (5f) 27 days ago.
Manila Scouse
Gained a deserved first success of 2026 in 17-runner handicap at Ayr (6f) 26 days ago. This former course scorer should remain very competitive off 5 lb higher.
Eternal Sunshine
Reached a useful level last year, completing a hat-trick in the Portland at Doncaster. Looked on her way back to form when runner-up at Doncaster (5f) last month but 2 lesser York runs have followed.
Venture Capital
Twelve runs since last win in 2025. Failed to fire in 4 outings between February and April and hopes are pinned on a subsequent breathing operation having a positive effect.
Fivethousandtoone (IRE)
Twelve runs since last win in 2025. Bit below form when eighth of 14 in handicap at Newcastle (6f) 35 days ago. Has a lower mark on turf but it's justified.
Parisiac (IRE)
Three-time winner at 5f in 2025 who resumed with ass C&D success in June. Runner-up on next 2 starts but his run of good form came to a halt at Ayr last time.
