SALIGO BAY has been prolific over hurdles since last seen in this discipline and arriving fit from a recent spin over timber, Sam England's 8-y-o is fancied to add to his tally at the expense of Tiger, who is yet to get off the mark on these shores but bounced back to form when runner-up at Doncaster 7 weeks ago. Secret Beach looks best of the rest, though market support for Cape Fear should be noted having flopped on his recent handicap bow.

Won twice at Wolverhampton in March for Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole before notching his third win of the season yard debut in a 7-runner event at Ripon (1m) last month. Possibly found the race coming too soon at Sandown next time and a 4-day turnaround/stall 9 both temper enthusiasm.
Secret Beach (IRE)
A dual winner for Ben Brookhouse in 2025. Proving inconsistent thus far for current yard, though registered marginally his best effort of the campaign dropped back in trip when second of 7 over C&D (good to firm) 8 days ago. Every chance if building on that.
Saligo Bay (IRE)
Prolific winner last year, including when last seen in this sphere here in September. That race has produced winners and he improved quite a bit over hurdles after that. Should be sharper for recent spin over hurdles and looks the one to be with.
Naples (IRE)
Signed off time in Ireland with victory in a 15-runner maiden at Listowel in September. Yet to fully fire in 4 handicap outings this season, though best excused latest Carlisle effort in first-time cheekpieces (seeming uncomfortable with firmer conditions). Back up in trip but hard to fancy.
Tiger (FR)
Still searching for first win on these shores but again ran well when second of 6 in handicap at Doncaster 7 weeks ago, pulling a little way clear of the rest. Sometimes slowly away, though he can remain competitive. 1 of 2 for this yard.
Echalar (IRE)
Won 7f Wolverhampton handicap in January for Jane Chapple-Hyam. Rather in-and-out since for new connections, but he does at least arrive on the back of a couple of solid efforts, most recently when fourth of 6 at Chepstow (1m, good to firm) last month. Back up in trip.
Oman (IRE)
Course winner who added to his tally in decisive fashion at Goodwood (9f) in June. Has failed to make an impact on both subsequent starts, left poorly placed the way things developed when ninth of 10 at Wolverhampton (9.5f) last month. Others more persuasive.
Moon Beginnings (IRE)
Scored around here on debut but went with little zest in first-time eyeshields when eighth of 9 at this course (7.6f, good to firm). Significantly back up in trip and given a chance by the handicapper but the widest stall makes him opposable.
Cape Fear
Gained a deserved first success when landing the odds in 7-runner novice at Lingfield (11.6f) in June. Sent off odds on but can't have been right on handicap debut at Newmarket last month and now first-time cheekpieces are applied. Interesting to see if his supporters return.
Eagle Day (IRE)
Ended a long losing run at Wolverhampton in March (second past the post but promoted) and wasted no time getting back to form when fourth of 13 there (9.5f) 12 days ago, albeit better placed than most. Recent turf efforts leave plenty to be desired, however.
