Timeform View

STARSONG has dipped below her last winning mark and suggested she may be ready to capitalise when finding only one too good on her latest outing at Pontefract 10 days ago. She shades preference over 4-time C&D winner Secret Handsheikh and Faustus, who is down to a handy mark himself.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Titus Thor traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP, 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts: Coast has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Pop Dancer (IRE)
Three-time C&D winner, the latest from a 2 lb lower mark last May. Lightly raced thereafter, absent since going off too hard when last of 13 over 6f back here on final start in 2025. Possible he will strip fitter for this first start for 11 months.
Kento
Dual all-weather winner earlier this year who quickly resumed winning ways over C&D in May. Good placed efforts next 2 starts and whilst he didn't go with the same spark when third over C&D last time, he appeals as the type to quickly bounce back.
Secret Handsheikh
Four-time C&D winner who returned to form when scoring at Chepstow (5f) in June. Not in same form when fifth of 6 in handicap at Bath (5f) 3 weeks ago but record here is an obvious plus and no surprise to see a better showing.
Faustus
C&D winner who has finished runner up on 2 of his last 3 starts, no match for a thriving rival for the latest of them over C&D 4 weeks ago. Has blinkers reapplied today and he's one to bear in mind from this sort of mark.
Starsong (IRE)
C&D winner who hit the frame 3 times during the spring and back to that level when second at Pontefract (6f) 10 days ago, finding only a revitalised rival too strong. Dipped below last winning mark and she's one to consider.
Titus Thor
Lightly-raced 6-y-o who wasn't seen to entirely best effect when fifth in a Chepstow classified event (5f) 33 days ago, albeit again fading out of contention. More on his plate back in a handicap.
Coast
Turned in her best effort of the season when third in classified event over 6f here on penultimate start. Possibly amiss when eased off at Bath (5f, firm) 3 weeks ago but it's a long time since she last got her head in front in any case.
