Timeform View

DIALSTONE was motoring at the finish when narrowly denied at Ffos Las on his debut in June and is fancied to show the benefit of that initial experience by going one better, probably at the chief expense of choicely-bred newcomer Fortutudine, who represents powerful connections. Purple Moon has to concede plenty of weight but is likely to progress further for his new yard.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Dialstone traded at a low of 2.22 and Betfair SP of 16.07 when losing last time, a race in which it raced behind.

Timeform Comments

Purple Moon (IRE)
Ribchester gelding who left debut form well behind to win 17-runner maiden at Gowran (9.6f, soft, 80/1) in April, suited by increase in trip. Sold from P. O'Rourke's yard for 65,000 gns and open to further improvement.
Anchor
A cheap purchase given pedigree and showed nothing in a Southwell bumper on debut in March.
Barachiel (IRE)
Showed form verging on fair on his best effort in bumpers. Makes Flat debut.
Digger One
Down the field in 2 bumpers 13 months apart and although he showed more second time up in this sphere, he was probably flattered in a modestly-run race.
Arklan (IRE)
34,000 gns Palace Pier gelding who showed a bit when fifth of 8 in novice at Windsor (11.4f, firm) on debut 37 days ago, not knocked about. Should at least know more this time.
Be Hopeful (IRE)
Well beaten both starts to date.
Centrum
Dubawi colt. Half-brother to numerous winners, notably top-class winner up to 1½m Enable. However, has looked decidedly limited on what he's shown so far.
Dialstone
Time Test gelding from a useful family and made a pleasing start to his career when narrowly denied in 1¼m Ffos Las maiden on debut 36 days ago. Longer trip will suit and seems sure to progress and win races.
Fortitudine (IRE)
Dubawi gelding. Brother to high-class winner up to 1¾m Rebel's Romance and half-brother to 3 winners, including very smart 1m-1¼m winner Measured Time. One to take seriously on debut for top connections.
Mid Flight
Showed a bit in a pair of 1m maidens for G. M. Lyons in 2025. Visor on for 1st time and will possibly be of more interest in handicaps after this run.
Treble Bass
210,000 gns Sea The Stars gelding who seemed backward when sixth of 9 in maiden at Windsor (1¼m, good to firm) on debut 16 days ago, slowly away and going in snatches. May need more time.
Westender
Nathaniel colt who showed nothing in a 7f maiden at Sandown on debut a year ago. Significantly up in trip.
