After an encouraging return, SPIRIT GENIE has had excuses both starts since so he could be ready to get back to winning ways as he drops in grade. In a change of headgear, he gets the vote ahead of Garden Oasis who was only narrowly denied on his latest outing.

Timeform Comments

Spirit Genie (IRE)
Shaped well from his reduced mark at York (7f) on reappearance and hasn't been seen to best effect after starting slowly both outings since. Drops in grade here and he's interesting switched to blinkers with Jason Hart taking over in the saddle.
Alessia Fernanda (IRE)
Capitalised on a falling mark when making a winning return at Southwell in April. Hasn't been in the same form in 3 subsequent outings, though she's edging back down in the weights again so isn't ruled out.
Garden Oasis
Landed this race 12 months ago. Without a win so far this season but placed on 4 occasions, returning to form when headed only near the line in 7-runner contest at Ripon 18 days ago. Can make another bold bid with regular cheekpieces replacing the blinkers he wore last time.
Narmar (IRE)
In good form back on turf last summer, gaining a first success for current yard at Ffos Las in June. However, he's gone the wrong way in 3 starts this season, tailed off at York (10.3f) on latest outing. Tongue strap refitted.
Cosmos Raj
Successful 3 times in 2025 but ended the campaign out of form and hasn't made much impact this season. Fared a bit better than of late when fourth of 6 at Doncaster (1¼m) 4 days ago, though ultimately failed to see his race out.
Soames Forsyte
Quirky type (regular slow starter) who bounced back to winning ways at Southwell in January. Form has been mixed since, though took a step back in the right direction when sixth of 12 at Carlisle in June. Task is now to build on latest effort.
