ALFA WHITEBURD arrives in top form and has won off this revised mark as a 3-y-o, so is taken to complete a hat-trick at the main expense of Uppercase and The Good Biscuit, who are also bidding for the 3-timer.

Timeform Comments

The Good Biscuit
Successful twice at this course last year and arrives here in top form after wins at Catterick and over C&D in recent weeks. Must be respected under a penalty.
Alfa Whiteburd (IRE)
Responded well to a positive ride to exploit a lower turf mark in impressive fashion at Chester and didn't have to improve to defy a penalty over C&D 3 weeks ago. He is 7 lb higher here, but has won from this mark in the past.
Aberama Gold
Off the mark for the year at Catterick in April and went close a couple of times last month. Easy to forgive latest run at York so expected to bounce back.
Uppercase
Looks progressive now, digging deep to get off the mark at Catterick before following up in good style at Epsom. Up 7 lb in a more competitive race but he could be up to it.
Mae Amor (IRE)
A 66/1-winner at Hamilton on return in May and finally back to that level when fourth of 26 at Glorious Goodwood last week. Task now is to back that up.
Emperor Caradoc (FR)
Off the mark for the season at Thirsk in May. Generally held form since but he's back up in class here.
Mister Sox
Narrow winner at Ripon last summer. Mixed record this season and needs to shrug off a couple of disappointing runs at York.
Sugar Baby
Four-time winner in 2025 and, after a couple of encouraging efforts, opened account for this season when keeping on well at Doncaster in June. Not on a going day at York since but the type to bounce back.
Willolarupi (IRE)
Successful at Redcar (6f) last spring and went close over C&D next time. However, not at that level since and made a low-key return here 19 days ago.
