Timeform View

SPEED OF SOUND has achieved more than enough to think she can win a race like this and is preferred to Minkaas, who shaped well when fourth on her Bath debut at the start of the summer. Pure Majesty met some trouble in running when behind the selection on her Newmarket debut and could also improve enough to play a prominent role.

Timeform Comments

Ava Louise
Well held both starts and looks more one for nurseries after this.
Babzini (IRE)
Showed plenty of ability when third in a Salisbury novice (5f) in May and produced another fair effort despite not handling the track when sixth of 8 at Goodwood (5f) later that month. Given a break since and she remains open to improvement with this increase in trip rating a plus.
Divine Concerto
66/1, last of 9 in novice at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) on debut 47 days ago. Needs to have come on a lot.
Foxsbrush
33/1, last of 7 in novice at Newmarket July meeting (7f, good to firm) on debut 19 days ago.
Lady Of Hay
11/2, sixth of 11 in maiden (11/2) at Newbury (6f, firm) on debut 19 days ago. Fitted with a hood this time. Likely improver for her top stable.
Lilywhite Hart
Green when ninth on 6f Windsor debut and duly improved when fifth of 11 in 6f Newbury 19 days ago, nearest finish. Likely capable of better again.
Minkaas (IRE)
Promising third of 5 in novice at Bath (5f, good to firm) on debut in May. It's taken a bit of time get her back to the track but she's open to progress and the booking of Billy Loughnane catches the eye.
Pensando A Te
Foaled February 2. 75,000 gns Blackbeard half-sister to 3 winners, including winner up to 7.4f Qipao and 1m winner Top of The Class. Dam winner up to 7f (including at 2 yrs). The betting should help guide to expectations with this newcomer.
Pure Majesty (IRE)
11/1, around 4 lengths behind Speed of Sound when tenth of 11 in maiden at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) on debut 26 days ago, stopped in her run just as it looked she was getting the hang of things. Will improve.
Speed Of Sound (IRE)
Fairly useful form when placed over 6f at Newmarket and Ascot (both good to firm) in recent weeks. Sets the standard for the rest to aim at.
