Timeform View

TAJ CROWN went close in a maiden at Ballinrobe recently and may prove the answer to this opening claimer. Timandi has been running well in similar races of late and is second choice ahead of Dark Summit, who is a possible class act at this level, and the reappearing Capital Theory.

Timeform Comments

Glittering Gem (IRE)
Thrice-raced maiden. Third of 5 in maiden at Killarney (1m, good, 7/1) 22 days ago. Back up in trip. Unexposed but has something to find on these terms.
Shemiyka (IRE)
100/1 and visored first time, first run since leaving Dermot Weld when improved third of 16 in maiden at Galway (1½m, soft) 5 days ago, suited by increase in trip. Claims if coping with the quick turnaround.
Taj Crown (IRE)
Fair maiden. 2/1, good second of 9 in maiden at Ballinrobe (9.6f, good) 16 days ago, just failing. Respected under Billy Lee.
Capital Theory
Winner of 16-runner handicap at Naas (10.6f, good to soft, 25/1) last October. Off since a below-par run at the Curragh later that month but was second in claiming company on his 2025 reappearance.
Concert Party (IRE)
Dual Flat winner for Richard Hannon last autumn, but only modest form over hurdles upon joining current yard and didn't shape like a winner in waiting in 2 Flat runs last month.
Timandi (IRE)
Bounced back to best when winning 1½m claimer at Tramore last month and good second in a similar race at Killarney (1m, good) since. Considered.
Avec Grand Plaisir (FR)
Lightly-raced maiden. Very good third of 12 in handicap (10/1) at Cork (1m, good) 52 days ago, running on. Back up in trip.
Dark Summit
Fair gelding. Respectable eighth of 17 in handicap at Galway (8.6f, good to soft, 16/1) 8 days ago. Back up in trip. Should be up to making presence felt dropped into a claimer.
Princess Rosie (IRE)
Modest form. 22/1, sixth of 9 in claimer at Fairyhouse (7f, good to soft). Off 10 months. Goes up in trip and first run for yard after leaving J. G. Coogan.
Shay's Dream (IRE)
In top hands but well beaten in 4 maidens. This is a drop in class but he's still not an obvious one.
Chopsticks (IRE)
One win from 26 Flat runs but it came here. Reached the frame in handicaps in May/June but 2 lesser runs have followed.
Eastern Blue Bird (IRE)
Modest gelding. 12/1, seventh of 10 in handicap hurdle at Wexford (17f, good) 13 days ago. Others are preferred back on the Flat.
Miss Australie (IRE)
Fair mare. Winner at Roscommon in May. Below-form eighth of 13 in handicap at Ballinrobe (13f, good to soft, 8/1) 44 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals.
Borora Aura (IRE)
Got back on track when second of 9 in claimer at Fairyhouse (1¼m) last month but well held in a Cork handicap since.
Mullacurry Maid (IRE)
Yet to make an impact, including when seventeenth of 22 in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good to firm, 50/1) 27 days ago. Difficult ask. RESERVE.
Money Shuffler (IRE)
Little worthwhile form on Flat last year. 200/1, twelfth of 16 in maiden at Punchestown (2m, good to soft) on hurdle debut 12 weeks ago. Blinkered first time back on the level. RESERVE.
