Timeform View

ETHICAL DIAMOND hasn't been at his best either start this year but can take advantage of this marked drop in class (escapes a penalty). Endorsement continues to hold his form well and is next best ahead of fellow 3-y-o Asakir, who remains with potential back down in distance.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Ethical Diamond traded at a low of 5.00 and Betfair SP of 10.93 when losing last time, a race in which it raced behind.

Timeform Comments

Ascending (IRE)
Progressive in 2025, bagging the 2½m Ascot Stakes at the Royal Meeting before an excellent second to Ethical Diamond in the Ebor at York. Not at that level both starts this year but shaped better than the bare result in the Copper Horse at Royal Ascot last time.
Dallas Star (FR)
Plenty of useful efforts in defeat but highly unlikely to be ending his losing run at this level.
Ethical Diamond (IRE)
Had a terrific 2025, winning all 3 starts, namely Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot, Ebor at York, and the Breeders' Cup Turf at Del Mar. Not at best either start this year but can resume winning ways back markedly in class.
Gaucher
Smart dual-purpose performer who landed a Grade 3 hurdle in October and in good form on all-weather thereafter, successful twice at Dundalk prior to finishing an excellent second in Easter Classic at Newcastle in April. Always behind in Wolferton at Royal Ascot since but he's better than that.
Green Impact (IRE)
Highly tried since winning Golden Fleece here as a 2-y-o but he did pick up a 9f listed race here last summer. Once again came up short at the top level when 8¾ lengths fourth in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh when last seen in May but he's capable of making an impact at this level.
Layfayette (IRE)
Best effort for a while when winning heavy-ground listed event at Limerick 7 weeks ago but looks vulnerable in this stronger race back on faster going.
Omni Man (IRE)
Won twice on turf last season, including handicap at Glorious Goodwood. Back to form when fifth of 17 in Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot but has work to do back at this level.
Asakir (IRE)
Zarak gelding from the family of top-class winner up to 1½m Azamour. Stepped up on debut to win 1¼m maiden here before a good second in listed race at Navan. Didn't do himself justice in Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot since (raced freely). May resume progress back down in trip.
Endorsement (IRE)
Close second to subsequent Derby winner Christmas Day in the Ballysax on return and had no trouble landing the odds in listed event at Leopardstown in June. Decent second in Hampton Court at Royal Ascot since and has since left Aidan O'Brien.
