GREAT BLASKET made the perfect start for new connections at Nottingham last week and remaining well treated under a 5-lb penalty, James Owen's 6-y-o is strongly fancied to follow up. Kodi Fire arrives in form, and he can get the better of Amused for the forecast position.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Great Blasket traded at a high of 1.63 and Betfair SP of 1.61 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Kodi Fire (IRE)
Stepped up on his previous efforts this year to win 6-runner event at Chepstow last month (1m, good to firm), acknowledging he had the run of things. Ran at least as well in defeat when second of 6 there 8 days later and not out of things nudged up a further 2 lb.
Bubbles Wonky (IRE)
Yet to score for current connections but arrives in form, running as well as could've been expected when third of 6 over C&D (good) just under a fortnight ago. Back down in grade but likely to find a couple too strong.
H Key Lails
Had a productive winter on the all-weather before making a winning return on the turf at Lingfield (7f) in June. Looks to be too high in the weights judged on both subsequent efforts so others more appealing.
Great Blasket (IRE)
Had a first-time visor applied and justified support in comfortable fashion for new connections in 5-runner event at Nottingham (8.3f, good) last week, drawing clear final 1f for hands-and-heels riding. Carries a 5-lb penalty here and fancied to take some stopping for his excellent new handler.
War Chant (IRE)
Has stood little racing in recent years and ran poorly on first outing for 6 months/since leaving Edward Smyth-Osbourne at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm) recently. Handicapper drops him a chunk, but he has a bit to prove.
Amused (IRE)
Won a 7f claimer in France last summer. Mixed bag for current connections, though bounced back to form when second of 12 over C&D (good) a fortnight ago. His task is to now back that up.
