MALLAVELLY ran up to her best when beaten only by a thriving rival at the Curragh in June and, having gone nicely through the race on her latest outing, she is taken to get back to winning ways returned to this shorter trip. Hasita could be the main danger as she goes back up in distance, with Rebel Wave also considered.

Timeform Comments

Stugardia (GER)
Fairly useful form in Germany for Henk Grewe, winning on her second start and going on to place twice at listed level. Down the field in Group 3 at Dusseldorf (8.4f) when last seen in October, but she's one to note as she makes handicap/stable debut.
Greydreambeliever (IRE)
Without a win since debut but runner-up 3 times in handicaps this season, beaten twice by Rion Rubette over this C&D. Couldn't get especially competitive when fourth of 9 in listed race at Galway 8 days ago, though this should be more suitable.
Rion Rubette
Proved better than ever when scoring over this C&D in April and followed up here 7 weeks later, getting the better of Greydreambeliever on both occasions. Lesser effort at the Curragh last time, but no surprise to see her bounce back at this venue.
Mallavelly (IRE)
Won 3 times last season after joining this yard and bounced back to form when runner-up in premier handicap at the Curragh (7f) in June. Travelled best when third of 6 at the same course (1m) 19 days ago, so she's a major player back down in trip.
Akecheta (IRE)
Doubled her tally with success in minor event over this C&D in September. However, she hasn't been able to match that level so far this season, running poorly with cheekpieces added (now left off) when well held at this course (9.5f) in June.
Pretty Omagh Girl (IRE)
Made the frame all 3 starts in maidens last year, before proving a different proposition on handicap/seasonal debut when making all in 19-runner contest at the Curragh (1m) in May. Well held at the same course next time, though (reported to be coughing).
Thrifty Of Digby (IRE)
With cheekpieces back on, took advantage of a falling mark when scoring at Roscommon (7.4f) in May. Proved game when following up at this course (9.5f), but was amiss when pulled up at Down Royal on latest outing.
Rebel Wave (IRE)
Took a step forward on third start when going close at Limerick in June, before showing a good attitude to win 11-runner maiden at the Curragh 20 days ago. Enters calculations with more still to offer on handicap debut.
Hasita (IRE)
Showed improved form on handicap debut when making the frame at Fairyhouse (7f) in July. Fitted with cheekpieces (now discarded), seemed unsuited by drop back to 6f when fifth of 13 in maiden at Navan last time, so she's worth another chance returned to further.
