An interesting juvenile race despite only the 6 runners with preference for SERGEI DIAGHILEV, who surely has more to offer up in trip. Venetian Power is clearly well thought of, though may have to settle for second best, with the once-raced City of Dubai perhaps the one to see out the 1-2-3.

Timeform Comments

City Of Dubai (IRE)
€260,000 yearling. Mehmas colt. Was clued up and made a winning debut in the style of an above-average prospect at Killarney by ½-length from Francillon in July. Yard in good form and he's open to improvement.
Full Volume (FR)
Left debut effort well behind when winning a 9-runner maiden at Bellewstown in July. Improved again when close second to Venetian Power in minor event at Killarney (1m, good, 3/1) 12 days later. Can go well again.
Sergei Diaghilev (IRE)
Justified cramped odds in 8-runner maiden at the Curragh on debut in May. 11/4, 4¼ lengths ninth of 25 to King of Cloughan in listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot (6f, good to firm) in June. Looks sure to do better the more his stamina is drawn out and remains open to progress.
Venetian Power (IRE)
Showed promise amidst clear inexperience when 6 lengths fourth to Giant Sequoia in maiden at Curragh on debut in June and built on that when winning 5-runner minor event at Killarney (1m, good, 9/2) 18 days later from Full Volume. Looks capable of holding his own at a higher level.
Bellesque (IRE)
Runner-up on debut at Leopardstown in July and justified short odds just a week later there (1m) having had the run of the race. Should have more to offer.
Sea Of Rain (IRE)
Improved to get off the mark at the fifth attempt in 12-runner maiden at Leopardstown (7f, good to firm, 9/4) 15 days ago, making all. Further progress needed in a deeper contest.
