Timeform View

DEISE CRYSTAL still has an air of untapped potential and is worth chancing now stepping back up in trip. Bayonetta is consistent and had a genuine excuse for underperforming last time, so rates the main danger, while Hob's Angel arrives on the back of a solid placed effort at this course.

Timeform Comments

Jonny Carrol (IRE)
Showed more than on stable debut when 14¾ lengths eighth of 14 to Ocean Murphy at this course last time. Has been dropped 3 lb but needs to improve on that if he's to feature.
Deise Crystal
Good second of 13 in 17f event at this course in May but ran just respectably when placed in similar event over same C&D 11 days later. May still have more to offer in handicaps and should be well suited by the step back up in trip. One to consider.
Layenda (IRE)
Stepped up on previous efforts when third of 14 in maiden hurdle at Downpatrick in May. That form has been boosted by both the second/fourth since but she disappointed on handicap debut at same track next time. Should stay at least this far but needs to bounce back.
Bayonetta (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who posted at least respectable efforts when in frame on first 3 starts this season. Went off too hard back down in trip at Downpatrick last time and very much the type to get back on track returning to a more suitable trip. Solid place claims again.
Riverstown Boy (IRE)
Point winner who has shown some ability despite finishing just outside the frame on all 3 starts in maiden hurdles. Open to improvement now tackling a handicap.
Barrogstown Girl (IRE)
Left previous efforts behind when 11 lengths second of 16 to Dream Shaper in handicap at Kilbeggan last time, better placed than most behind clear leader. More required upped further in trip.
Charlie's Gift (IRE)
Below form on all 3 starts this season, failing to finish on his last 2.
Zaryagle (IRE)
Showed poor form in maiden hurdles and made no impact in a couple of handicaps afterwards. Improvement needed on return from 292-day absence.
Madam Elle (IRE)
Has made little impact in 5 starts over hurdles, including on handicap debut on latest
Notmiwadi (IRE)
Looked one for the longer term in maiden hurdles but showed nothing switched to a handicap after 9 months off last time
Itaintmebabe (IRE)
Made a winning handicap debut at Fakenham for Sarah Humphrey last season. Below par since but might have needed the run starting out for this yard at Clonmel in May. Interesting should the market speak in his favour.
Who's Da Goose
Inexpensive gelding who made notable mistakes when mid-division in a trio of maiden hurdles. Makes handicap debut.
Sekakarma (IRE)
Took a step back in the right direction when 12½ lengths fourth of 15 to Small Bucks at Downpatrick last time but has stamina to prove back up in trip.
Hob's Angel (IRE)
Took advantage of career-low mark at Clonmel (2½m) in May before finishing second in a 15-runner event at Limerick later in the month. Ran well when 5¼ lengths third of 13 to Set The Tone at this course 15 days ago. Capable of being involved.
Keep The Head (IRE)
No form in bumpers or over hurdles, including on debut for new yard last time. RESERVE.
John Dixen (IRE)
Best effort over hurdles (poor form) when 14¼ lengths sixth of 13 to Laska Du Breuil on handicap debut at Limerick in May. Races from 2 lb out of the handicap. RESERVE.
Backinabit (IRE)
Won extended 17f handicap at this course at Wexford last month but failed to repeat that effort when eighth of 12 over C&D 15 days ago. Entered 6.20 Sligo on Thursday. RESERVE.
