Consistency has been a bit of an issue for GO VICTOR so far but if he's in the same form as when successful at Pontefract a fortnight ago a 3 lb rise may not prevent him following up. 5f course scorer My Mate Mackley is second choice ahead of Rogue Rebellion.

Showed nothing on Salisbury handicap debut on recent return from a year off for new trainer. Needs to have come on a lot.

Has beaten just 3 rivals in as many handicap starts (all over 5.7f at Bath). Hard to be positive.

My Mate Mackley
Proved different proposition after being gelded/switched to handicaps when dead-heating over 5f here in May. Back on track fitted with cheekpieces when runner-up at Ffos Las and Southwell in June/July. Below-form fourth at Wolverhampton latest but still rates one of the more likely types here.
Independent Angel
Made her first real impact when fourth of 9 at Carlisle (6f, good to soft) in June. The task now is to build on that.
