Timeform View

TROPICAL TWIST was much improved when winning at Wexford on Friday and looks capable of following up under a penalty. Gortmore Lady took a step back in the right direction over C&D last time and rates the chief danger, while Pralognan has an absence to overcome but is a previous course scorer and is respected with the Tony Martin yard back among the winners.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Tropical Twist traded at a high of 17.50 and Betfair SP of 14.50 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Kalsman (IRE)
Course winner (2¾m) who doubled his tally over hurdles when making all in handicap at Down Royal (2½m) in April. Below form both starts in May but shaped better on chasing debut when third of 6 in maiden here (3m) last time. Drop in trip here a concern.
Pralognan (FR)
Improved when winning 11-runner handicap hurdle over C&D last summer and backed that up with a creditable third of 11 in a similar event at Cork next time. Well held on chasing debut when last seen in November but returns to hurdling with the yard back among the winners.
Tropical Twist (IRE)
Has few miles on the clock and showed much improved form when winning 14-runner 17f handicap at Wexford on Friday by ¾-length from Game Phoenix, suited by the strong pace. Slightly longer trip and stiff finish will play to her strengths and this represents a good opportunity for a quick-fire double.
Augusta George (IRE)
Free-going sort who won a bumper at this course in August 2024. Has just one standout effort over hurdles and went with no encouragement in maiden at Down Royal on sole outing last season. Booking of Sam Ewing catches the eye on handicap debut but best watched unless strong in the betting.
Parkgarve (IRE)
Unreliable type that has proven more miss than hit over fences of late. Potentially well treated returning to hurdling in first-time blinkers but comes with plenty of risks attached.
Barrogstown Girl (IRE)
Left previous efforts behind when 11 lengths second of 16 to Dream Shaper in handicap at Kilbeggan last month, better placed than most behind clear leader. Disappointing favourite at Wexford on Friday.
Leitzel
Without a win in 21 starts and well held in handicap at Down Royal (66/1) in May on debut for current trainer after 8 months off. Looks up against it.
Fine Print (IRE)
Fair winner at 17f on Flat. Hasn't got anywhere near that level over hurdles to date and, while he shaped with a bit more encouragement when 21¾ lengths fourth of 14 to Topothelane at Wexford in May, he failed to back that up tackling a longer trip at Sligo last time.
Granlahan (IRE)
Has already been placed 3 times in handicaps this season. Shaped as if still in good heart but didn't get home over the longer trip when 17¾ lengths sixth of 16 to She'll Be Kept in 2¾m handicap at Ballinrobe 19 days ago. Firmly in the mix for minor honours again.
Gortmore Lady (IRE)
Still looking for a breakthrough success but turned in best effort since joining current yard when 10¼ lengths third of 15 to Small Bucks in C&D handicap 26 days ago. Obvious claims if building on that. Tongue strap back on.
Mount Hotham (IRE)
Fairly useful form on Flat in France for Andre Fabre back in 2022. Off 3 years and has failed to better poor form in 8 starts over hurdles.
La Rocca Lass (IRE)
Placed in a bumper but no form over hurdles, including in handicaps.
