SAMBA TRAIN remains open to improvement and is taken to gain compensation for her mid-race exit at Galway, with her mark still looking fair. Theflyingbee and Cobra Queen head the lengthy list of dangers in a competitive handicap.

Timeform Comments

Cobra Queen (IRE)
Landed fairly useful double over fences last season and turned in her best effort since when 2 lengths third of 16 to My Gaffer in handicap hurdle at Killarney last time. Cheekpieces worn that day are retained and remains on a workable mark despite 2 lb rise.
Samba Train (IRE)
Dual bumper winner who made her third start over hurdles a successful one when landing a 16-runner novice hurdle at Killarney (2¾m, good to soft) in May. Travelling sweetly when unseating at the fifth in 2m mares handicap at Galway last time. Remains open to improvement.
Billie Frechette (IRE)
In the frame in 3 maiden chases in the spring but was off the bridle before most when making very little impact in a handicap hurdle at Galway last time. Needs to bounce back.
Theflyingbee (IRE)
Likeable mare who arrives on the back of 2 good placed efforts, ¾-length second of 11 to Chanceawetmorning at Clonmel on latest. Step back up in trip shouldn't be an issue and looks sure to give another good account.
Camlin Park (IRE)
Point winner who proved a different proposition to on hurdling debut when landing a maiden at this course last season. Failed to progress afterwards but shaped as if on the way back returning from 4 months off at Galway 11 days ago. Steps up in trip.
Poetic Twist (IRE)
Showed ability in bumpers and has made a positive start over hurdles, runner-up first 2 outings before going one better in 10-runner maiden at Tramore (2¾m) in May. Below that form when 25 lengths second of 8 to Carmel's Phoenix in mares event at Kilbeggan last time, though. Makes handicap debut.
Gangster Granny (IRE)
Boasts an impressive course record, landing a handicap over C&D in May and then showing much improved form when resuming winning ways in a novice here last time. Returns to handicaps off revised mark but must be respected.
Joya Del Mar (IRE)
Bounced back to best to capitalise on a falling mark in decisive style over C&D in May and doubled her tally over C&D (good to firm) the following month. Again ran well here when 3 lengths third of 13 to Tolka Row last time. Must enter calculations.
Oh Janey (IRE)
Won extended 17f novice handicap at this course last season and stepped up from reappearance when 4 lengths fifth of 13 to Tolka Row over C&D last time despite stumbling between the last 2 hurdles.
Shannon Bank (IRE)
Off the mark on second run for this stable in 2m Listowel handicap hurdle last month but wasn't in the same form in handicap chase at Wexford last time. Steps up in trip now back over hurdles.
Miss Lia (IRE)
Runner-up 4 times in handicap hurdles in 2025/26, including over C&D. Below form both outings this season.
Steps In The Sand (IRE)
In frame last 3 starts over hurdles, posting another respectable effort when 4½ lengths fourth of 16 to Justicialism at Sligo on latest just 3 days ago. Back up in trip here and racing from 1 lb out of the handicap.
